June 28, 201511 yr If you are going to bring up the Bible concerning Christianity, then please provide accurate meanings. Works and good behavior do not get you into heaven. BTW, separation of church and state is a joke. Thomas Jefferson did not believe in religion. Our country continues down the path of injustice due to our leaders' indignation towards God. So are you of the belief that all laws and Government be solely based on the teachings of Christianity? Should we outlaw all other religions? When you speak of a path of injustice, what exactly is that, and what is the correct path that we should be on...or more importantly, what should that path look like? It sounds as if (and forgive me if I'm misinterpreting you) this country should be more of, if not totally a Theocracy. And while I don't think you're going as far wanting to persecute other religions, it does sound as if you have little tolerance or respect for those who either are of a different religion or those who don't follow your God in the exact same way as you. The diversity created by allowing freedom of religion is one of the things that make this country great. The ability to have these freedoms is one of the founding principles of this country. Imagine if you were in a place that didn't allow to speak freely about what you believe.
June 28, 201511 yr No doubt. Apparently my conservative friends are no longer conservative now because they support gay marriage. :lol2: Sure they are...I am pretty conservative and I have no issue at all with gay marriage...
June 28, 201511 yr I would argue that this is what's currently happening from the LGBT militia. As I've said before it's not just enough that the "right" to marriage has been granted to them, all opposition MUST be silenced according to them. There you go again trying to paint a picture with an extreme distorted broad stroke. It's ate up with ignorance, and a ridiculously unfair and untrue assessment. I've noticed that you never responded the last time I addressed you on your backward thinking in this matter. Perhaps for you to try to understand is far more boring than it is to hang on to some negative mean spirited false angle that tries only to serve your misguided agenda...sounds like pure evil to me. ...no wait... I'll lay it on the line.... Hear Ye Hear Ye, I am a member a the Gay Militants and we are here to silence all of the opposing heterosexuals. In fact we are recruiting and coming for your children. We've been lying all along that being gay is not a choice. It is a choice indeed spawned by massive brainwashing and we will see to is that your kids travel down the best and only way, which is the gay way. Nothing will stand in our way and nothing will stop us. If your kids don't abide, we will simply use them to create more children to indoctrinate into the cult. We'll also continue to grow children in a lab in a petri dish to also immediately brainwash. We will not stop until we are the majority on Planet Earth, and any remaining heterosexuals will be forced to speak our vision or pay the cost. You have been warned, but there is nothing that you can do because nothing will stand in our way, and we will stop at nothing. There you go, there's some wild juice for you to run with , and while anyone with any sense would know that it's a line of malarkey, I wouldn't be surprised if you did run with it anyhow because it appears to me that you would stop at nothing to try to advance you misguided hate filled agenda even if all you've got is a load of crap.

I have given no comment to indicate that I am intolerant of any individual or religion with regards for my love for Jesus Christ. The First Amendment states that we have freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
June 28, 201511 yr Sure they are...I am pretty conservative and I have no issue at all with gay marriage... You are not a social conservative if you agree with gay marriage.
June 28, 201511 yr You are not a social conservative if you agree with gay marriage. Based on your previous posts here, I cannot tell you how little your opinion means to me...especially about my conservatism. But do keep praying for me...
June 28, 201511 yr Based on your previous posts here, I cannot tell you how little your opinion means to me...especially about my conservatism. But do keep praying for me... I will continue to write without expecting anything in return. Why would a Christian believe differently? I will keep praying for all of you without regard for sarcasm.

The First Amendment states that we have freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. Maybe not specifically, but your many of your responses to those who's beliefs don't exactly coincide, include promises of condemnation, the coming of God's wrath, etc. Basically a your way or a highway to you know where. It almost seems as if you are belittling or talking down to those who don't follow things as strictly or may be of a completely different religion. I do appreciate your passion, though. As far as the "freedom of religion, not freedom from religion" comment. I've heard that before and find it interesting. My thought on that is this.... The most important thing to remember is that freedom of religion, if it is going to apply to everyone, also requires freedom from religion. You do not truly have the freedom to practice your religious beliefs, if you are also required to adhere to and strictly follow any of the religious beliefs or rules of one specific religion. Forcing people to accept some specific idea or adhere to some specific standard from someone else’s religion means that their religious freedom is being infringed upon. Honestly, I don't see how you can have "Freedom of" without also having "Freedom from"

Honestly, I don't see how you can have "Freedom of" without also having "Freedom from" I have not condemned anybody on here except to use that which has been prophesied for millenia. I have my own religious beliefs (freedom of) and somebody else has their own (freedom of). If we do not agree, then so be it. Man - I will repeat it again - Man has instituted "freedom from" in order to keep the peace. Nothing more - nothing less.
June 28, 201511 yr Please, it's just you justifying evil deeds committed by servants of god. Deuteronomy 22:23-24 If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife. such a book of piece this bible... If you want me to explain it I will. These are not deep theological issues. It is well known why these passages are so strict. I am not justifying anything, I was not aware that I needed to justify anything.
June 28, 201511 yr Your friend is not a social conservative if they believe in the rights of gay marriage. Why are you so sensitive about this? Why are you so sensitive about their conservative views? I wasn't even talking to you about my conservative friends when you jumped in to tell me they aren't conservative. I mean my friends that aren't socially conservative. My fault.
June 29, 201511 yr Your choice, but you do not have an understanding of the spectrum. Oh I have a very good understanding of the political spectrum, of that I have no doubt.
June 29, 201511 yr And while I'm Christian, I'm not of the belief that I need to convert or spread the word to the "uniformed". I also hate the idea of telling someone that they have no chance at being "chosen" because they follow a different God. I'd like to believe that if we treat each other fairly and equally and be good and kind to others, my maker will recognize me as deserving when my time comes. This a million times over. I have absolutely no doubt as to the bolded.
