May 15, 201511 yr One observer's perspective, from an Electoral College point of view. Hillary Clinton's election to lose - POLITICO.com Let's be honest with ourselves for a second: This is Hillary Clinton's election to lose. On Nov. 8, 2016, Clinton will start — start — with a minimum 247 of the 270 electoral votesshe needs to win. If you give her Colorado and Virginia — which many political strategists would, given the Hispanic population in one and the rising influence of the northern-centered population in the other — she'll start with 269. That means Clinton doesn't need Ohio or Florida. She just needs one small state like Iowa, Nevada or New Hampshire to put her over the edge. And because she's got a boatload of money and no viable primary challenger, she'll have plenty of time and resources to lock up at least one of those states.
May 15, 201511 yr Yes, Hil's to lose- no doubt about it. And she has shown in the past that she's more than capable of doing just that. However, she blew it to another Democrat. I think she could make a series of mistakes and still win over the Republican, given the sad state of that party right now. Should be an interesting year and a half.
May 15, 201511 yr I've always felt she was too unlikable to win the Presidency, but she has to be the odds on favorite.
May 15, 201511 yr Shocked .... absolutely SHOCKED to see in this morning's Enquirer poll results that show Hillary leading in KY, including in a one on one vs. Paul. Just shocking.
May 15, 201511 yr I will move to Mexico if this happens... I really wish people would quit saying this.

George Will has been saying same for years. This isn't a national election. It's 50 separate state elections. Unless the GOP can figure out how to pick off, say, N.Y. or California or the upper Midwest, the math will continue to favor the Democrats given the changing demographics.
May 15, 201511 yr Anyone who votes for her is uninformed and dont care about morals. And supports criminal activity.
May 15, 201511 yr Makes me wonder about the long term viability of our great nation . The lady is not ?? I don't know how to say it .. proper presidential material , and it has nothing to do with her gender . Do enough people even care anymore ?
May 16, 201511 yr I think people are under estimating how polarizing Hillary is even with in her own party. There is a reason she is doing little to no media right now. She doesn't want another Democrat to step up . I feel it's a mistake by the Democrat party to not put more people forward that can win. She is extremely unlikable in front of a camera and has a lot of baggage why take the risk with her when you have this math on your side. She is going to implode on the National scene. She isn't a good politician, she doesn't know how to play the game like her husband.

Which states will the GOP win in '16 that they didn't win in '12 or '08? (Also factor in the fact that, based on recent polling, even Kentucky is in play for Mrs. Clinton.) GOP continues to struggle with low approval ratings. How is this to be overcome if the candidate is yet another Bush or a relative unknown like Scott Walker?

How is this to be overcome if the candidate is yet another Bush or a relative unknown like Scott Walker? First let me say as silly as you think a GOP member winning president is , I find it twice as silly that you actually believe Hillary has a shot in KY. Second there are plenty of states that people are locking up for Democrats that Republicans have had recent success in both Governor and Senate races but loss to Obama in the president race by relatively safe small margins. The problem with your theory and most is you don't count for the fact that Hillary won't inspire as many people to get out and vote and she isn't near the speech giver as Obama. It's like when we discussing this you forget one of Obama's best qualities that Hillary just doesn't posses.
