If you just get pregnant on your own ignorance then you should have to have the baby and give it up for adoption at the least. I would almost be willing to be that more times than not if the woman goes through with it then she would want to keep it.

 

I also think the man should have a say in it, it is after all his baby too. It has his DNA and genes. Maybe he doesnt want a woman killing his unborn baby

How can I change a woman who is a mother to 2 great little kids and the birth will kill her. How can I make her die? I couldnt.

But according to the pro-life argument, that mother's child is a life too. What makes the unborn child's life more important to than it's mother's life?? Why shouldn't that unborn child have an opportunity to live. Same thing with rape or incest. In either instance, you're devaluing the unborn child. I just don't believe you can be pro-life if you support any sort of abortion regardless of the reason.

 

I also don't buy the argument that there are bunches of women out there getting pregnant simply to earn more welfare money. While there are maybe some, the belief that cutting benefits will magically stop them from reproducing, is silly. It would simply push women who make those reproductive decisions further into poverty. Otherwise you might as well say if your poor, you cannot have children. And also, what exactly is the argument here?? Are you arguing against abortion for those loose, poor women to teach them a lesson on morals? And then we turn around and not pay any more welfare benefits, to teach them a double lesson which is hurting the kids that we want to make them have. Regardless if these women are having abortions, then they aren't getting any additional benefits. And if they are having the kids for additional benefits, they aren't having abortions.

Bingo! I abhor abortion but don't vote for presidents based on their stance on it. While the thought of killing an unborn baby makes me ill, I am not ready to throw a woman in jail if she does. I don't think my tax money should ever fund abortions but that is a different subject.

I'm with UKmustang. To me it's an all or nothing situation. Either you're pro life or not. You can't have exceptions...in the end, if you believe abortion is the killing of a life and is wrong, then there should be no valid reason to have an abortion. If you believe there are or should be exceptions, you are by definition pro-choice. Too many people confuse pro-choice with pro-abortion.
