May 17, 201511 yr I think the country stays close to the center. At the start of the 21st century, I felt like we were a center-right nation. Not we are center-left IMO. We are a divided country. Presidential elections have gone democratic the last two times but we now have a House, Senate and most governorships controlled by Republicans.

May 18, 201511 yr The support Of Democrats and Liberals just shows how morally low our country has fallen. Dems and Libs support Abortion If you were king what would you do in regards to abortion?
May 18, 201511 yr I see no help in sight for your wayward Republican Party. The GOP is so lost . Lincoln wouldn't recognize it. Hell, Reagan would lose his mind if he were living. (Oops!) It has been pulled little by little towards a convergence with the crazy right. Gotta stay center to win the big House. Bill Clinton understands that. Jeb Bush understands that. The Tea-Party doesn't. The crazies on the right will force the primary candidates to say crazy things to get their vote, which, in turn, will kill any hopes that candidate might have in the general election. The math is a real problem for the GOP in the general election anyway. If an earthquake ever destroys California, the GOP may have a slight chance of regaining the White House... VERY slight! I pray to the Maker you are wrong but with those on the other side fearing they'd loose their entitlements, they would vote for a chipmunk if he/she were a democrat and extremely left. That's how I feel.
May 18, 201511 yr I agree. With the demographics like they are as of now, and I don't see that changing any time soon, there won't be another Republican president in the next 30 years, maybe 50 years. The Democrats have too big of an advantage in the electoral college before the race even starts. Actually, it's over before it starts. It doesn't really matter who they nominate, they're going to win. Hillery is the next POTUS and the Commander and Chief of the armed forces. Whew!!! Can you imagine that!!! Scary. Rand Paul or Scott Walker isn't scary?
May 18, 201511 yr I could not care less that she is a woman. I do care that she is a liberal, a Clinton, a crook, a liar and a despicable human being... You do care that she's a woman. Besides name a politician who doesn't have a despicable side.
May 18, 201511 yr The support Of Democrats and Liberals just shows how morally low our country has fallen. Dems and Libs support Abortion Gay marriage IRS targeting conservatives Benghazi coverup Free money for all illegals Taking from those who work and giving it to those that are lazy and don't work Allowing the Muslim Brotherhood to be legitimatized Allowing Iran to get nukes Race riots Just plain nuts... Like most Republicans these days. Lincoln would be so sad.
May 18, 201511 yr Ramadi has fallen this past week. Bagdad predicted to fall by October. Libya is chaos after the US-backed overthrow. Egypt has had to use its military to put down the MB movement that was encouraged by the State Department. Morisi is now on death row. The first ambassador killed in years and still no closure to the Benghazi massacre. Not exactly a winning records. But the title of the thread may be correct.
May 18, 201511 yr If you were king what would you do in regards to abortion? I think that in circumstances like rape (not a 18yr boy and 17yr old girl whose parents are mad and get police involved even after she agreed to have sex) or potential death from having the baby it would have to be left up to the woman or family. If you just get pregnant on your own ignorance then you should have to have the baby and give it up for adoption at the least. I would almost be willing to be that more times than not if the woman goes through with it then she would want to keep it. I also think the man should have a say in it, it is after all his baby too. It has his DNA and genes. Maybe he doesnt want a woman killing his unborn baby
May 18, 201511 yr We are a divided country. Presidential elections have gone democratic the last two times but we now have a House, Senate and most governorships controlled by Republicans. The truth is the last FOUR elections were extremely close. In fact, Bush lost the General Election vote to Gore but won the Electoral College vote. So the GOP has lost 3 out of 4 votes as it were. But they are successful locally. Why? I don't know. I do know it is interesting that Gerry mandering is done locally but not in the Presidential election because each state gives its Electoral votes to the candidate who carries the state regardless of district or region. I'm not using the above as a slap at the GOP. I'm not saying they are doing something wrong to win local elections. The Dems have done it for years in the local level. Just curious if that is a plausible explanation.
May 18, 201511 yr If you just get pregnant on your own ignorance then you should have to have the baby and give it up for adoption at the least. Most people, regardless of party, feel that they SHOULD have the baby. I'm asking what you want your POTUS to do. Make it illegal?
May 18, 201511 yr Most people, regardless of party, feel that they SHOULD have the baby. I'm asking what you want your POTUS to do. Make it illegal? I dont think you can make it illegal. What if its going to make the woman die and and she already has 2 little kids, is it fair to them to lose their mom? NO I dont think the Pres can make it illegal unless its a "She just spreads her legs and pops out babies like crazy".

Saying they support abortion is just not true.
