When the brackets were released, Notre Dame was the one team that I thought would give Kentucky the best game in the region. I say Cats by 11.

I just don't see it.

 

Yeah, Notre Dame will hit some threes, but I'm confident they've not faced a team that will close out and defend their looks quite like the Cats will. Their length will cause the Irish all kinds of problems IMO.

 

The biggest question in this one is how in the world will Notre Dame guard Kentucky? They are a BAD defensive team to begin with, and now they'll be going against a team that simply dwarfs them at every position. The Cats should just pound it down low all night long. Notre Dame may not get 15 rebounds the whole game.

If I'm ND and they stick a mic in front of me today, I say something along the lines of, "They're a great team. We're going to need to bring our A game, and even that might not be enough. We aren't going to back down though."

I would just say this and go on.

Aaron Harrison's finger is my only concern. He has been playing and shooting well. It's just his off-hand but you never know.

 

As for the result, I'll go UK by 9. This is definitely the second best team in the regional and if they got white hot from three like they have done at times, bad things can happen.

ND makes 12 3's they win. I don't see that happening. Pound the ball inside. I expect a huge game from Towns.

Give the ball to Trey Lyles and let him go to work against a 6'5" defender.

ND is going to give them a run for the money, but as much as I hate to say it- UK is going to win this one and more than likely the Championship.
