ND makes 12 3's they win. I don't see that happening. Pound the ball inside. I expect a huge game from Towns.

He should certain have his legs. Just need to keep him from picking up a cheap one early!

I see this game fitting the typical UK game blueprint. ND will have energy, will hit threes, be playing great and will look up at halftime and be behind by 2 points. They will stay in it till the 10 minute mark and then UK's depth will begin to show and the Cats will pull away and end up winning by double digits.

I don't know if the Harrisons can guard Grant. I know it will never happen, but I would mix in some 1-3-1 to keep Notre Dame from spreading the floor, and kicking out for the open 3's.

ND has 2 wins over Duke and NC , think they have played some pretty good opponents, hope for a clean well played game by both teams, best team Saturday night will come out on top. Both classy programs.

At some point people will start to admit the Harrison twins are actually very good defensively.

A zone would be a terrible idea against a team that makes their money from behind the arc. Man up and don't let them get clean looks.

With most teams I would agree, but with UK's length I believe a 1-3-1 would be very hard to get open looks against.

I saw where UK opened as a 10.5 point favorite over Notre Dame at halftime of the UK/West Virginia game last night. :lol2:

For ND it depends what team shows up. Does the team that beat Duke show up? Or does the team Duke dismantled show up?

ND has to hit shots and control the back board and tempo. I just dont see them being able to do all 3 in the same game.

Cats - 82

ND - 64

I don't think the Elite Eight is a good time to try a D that you haven't played all year. I do think it would have been interesting to see this team play a little zone throughout the year though with all their length.

Aaron Harrison's finger is my only concern. He has been playing and shooting well. It's just his off-hand but you never know.

As for the result, I'll go UK by 9. This is definitely the second best team in the regional and if they got white hot from three like they have done at times, bad things can happen.

I wouldn't worry about it. He just dislocated it. I did it to 3-4 fingers back in the day. Always looks worse than what it is. After they pop it back, it just feels like a jammed finger. Granted, if it was on his shooting hand then it'd definitely be more of a worry. Off hand, though? Ahh...He'll be ok. Or should.....

Do you know what type of defense Duke played in the two games?

This is the best defensive unit in the history of college basketball. Dance with who brought you...

Don't you feel UK will struggle a little bit against Notre Dame's spread offense? What team UK has played this year do you feel mostly resembles Notre Dame's offense?

The type they pretty much played all year....None.

ND has the best offense in the country, so it will be a struggle at times. That said, the last thing I'd want to do is use a D you aren't used to playing to stop them. Plus the weak spot in a 1-3-1 is the corner 3, and if you give them open looks from the corner it will rain triples...
