Chuckle. An optimistic prediction I would think. Does NKY not have any 3A teams?

 

I tell you what, though. If SK plays anybody other than Trinity in the state finals, I'll root for them. And you can hold me to that.

 

I know last year NKY did not have any 3A teams and I don't think anyone moved into 3A this year either.

2A: DeSales

3A: Belfry

4A: Warren Central

5A: Highlands

1A, 3A, and 4A I'm less certain about, but I'll still throw a guess in there. DeSales has been on the rise, and I think they will surprise everyone. Highlands, I expect to continue, although they will definitely face a tougher field of challengers this year. Bowling Green could certainly take it from them. Trinity, I have to pick, but bias aside I do think they return good talent and have the best chance of taking the title again. Male is likely to be their biggest challenger this year, though if St. X gets their coaching staff in order they can threaten just as much.

DeSales is the defending champ, not sure they are going to surprise anyone. Are Desales and Mayfield on opposite sides of the bracket, so that they would potentially meet in finals?

Mayfield could very well be the favorite, I was just wondering if DeSales winning would surprise everyone.

D winning it again shouldn't surprise anyone. Mf is certainly a strong contender. Mf returns more but will have to rebuild their line to have a shot, something that is certainly a possibility. Knowing D lost a lot but they seem to be working well off the old quote "build it and they will come". Not as much heard about CAL, anyone know what they return from a team last year that battled D to the wire?

I would consider Mason County a northern Kentucky team more so than Beechwood being from the west.
