I just want all of you to know that you stink.

 

Granted, it's a stank of bourbon and cigars that I love. But yeah, you guys stink.

Friday night was a My Father Flor de Las Antillas with Johnny Drum - neat. Sooooo gooood!

Smoked a couple of Padron's, sipping on Weller, watching Derby.

Sat on the grass in Memphis, watched Big Head Todd followed by Flogging Molly.

 

Smoked La Perla Black Pearls and drank some UV drink out of a fish bowl.

So I stop on the way home last night to pick up a bottle. I've been drinking Makers and wanted to try something different. Decided on a Buffalo Trace. Get home and the trash cans are sitting by the drive (yesterday was trash day). I pull in the garage, sit my bag with the bottle and a 8 pack of small cokes on my wifes hood and head out to put the trash cans up. I come back around to the door and hear a crash. Walk in the garage and there sits the bag on the ground with the empty and bottomless bottle of Buffalo Trace next to it in a huge pool of bourbon. Off to the store I went.

 

The upside the bourbon was pretty tasty.

I over indulged this weekend. Friday I had an Oliva V with Calumet Farms and last night a Diamond Crown with Woodford Double Oak.

I went with the Alec Bradley American Classic Churchill and Knob Creek.

Had to mow today so I chose one that I got in a sampler a while back - Bahia B-Line Churchill.

 

It was very mild (too mild for my taste), but smoked very well. That and the Old Styles made the mowing pass a little easier.

 

I would recommend these for those of you who like milds. Less than two bucks a stick for a pretty well made mild smoke.

My wife got her hands on a bottle of Pappy 20 year and I had to give it a try.

One word describes it for me: YUCK

My first job out of college was as a counselor at a halfway house. I distinctly remember one of the residents saying that his drink of preference was V.O.B.

 

But as I also recall, he didn't often have the means. So his typical beverage was rubbing alcohol strained through a couple slices of white bread.
