April 5, 201511 yr Visited Party Source and picked up a Duran Batavia. It's a 454, with a Nicaraguan filler and Ecuadorian criolla wrapper. It's labeled as an everyday gar and at $3.50 it's a steal. Can't find them online but I see a box purchase in my future.
April 6, 201511 yr Smoked a big fat Gurkha Centurian double perfecto last night. Paired it with a ruby port. Gurkhas are like playing Russian roulette. I've had some truly good ones, and some have been among the worst I've ever smoked. The problem is there is just so many of them. On the other hand, there's always a deal to be had, so you never have to pay full price, which is usually super high. I've been burnt several times though, enough that I wont buy them regardless of how good the price is.
April 9, 201511 yr I have a very modest cigar collection but I have one of the very best bourbon contemporary collections in the state 250+ rare/premium bourbons and growing every week. If it had been released in the last 5 years I have it!

April 9, 201511 yr To be honest, I purchased the Petel's for smoking while I'm driving a distance. I don't normally smoke them at home. I like Elijah Craig, but I really like the Barrel Proof. It has a very nice flavor, I do dilute it some, it's 128 proof. But a little water really opens it up with great flavor. Plus, having to add water makes a bottle last a good while. I am normally a straight and neat guy, but I do add water to the barrel proof. I have two bottles of this one is 128 proof the other is a mind blowing 140 proof! It's good stuff !
April 9, 201511 yr Recently had the Parker's Wheat. One of the hottest bourbons I've ever had. That is one of my absolute favorites!
April 13, 201511 yr Perfect evening for a smoke. [ATTACH=CONFIG]50092[/ATTACH] I really enjoy that one. I had a Patel Catch 22 last night. I love Nicaraguan puros but the 22 is a mix of all types.
