For those who didn't get that, that was a joke in regards to the assertion BG took over for T as KY's flagship.

If Beatty leaves, would that be good or bad for Kentucky football.........or have no effect?

I would think some out of state head coaches and coordinators would be applying. Successful program coordinators and head coaches should be considered.

The position wouldn't be given to Coverdale?

It would be very surprising if it didn't go to Coverdale. No disrespect to Beatty or any number of other great HS HC but I'd venture more people around the country know who Coverdale is compared to Beatty. Just to be clear I'm not making the statement that Coverdale is a better HC just stating the fact that Coverdale isn't your typical HS OC

I just had a thought...if Beatty gets the gig in Arkansas, would Coverdale go with him? I mean, I imagine that Andrew Coverdale could have been a head coach if he wanted to be. Maybe he doesn't want to do that any more.

 

The money for Beatty would likely be six figures in Arkansas, he may be able to secure a teaching gig for several coaches and some decent money for them, as well. Bob Sphire was able to bring several of his assistants when he went to Georgia. I would bet the situation would be similar in Arkansas.

If you can't beat em, hope they leave. Good view to have. Hope that is not the attitude in the program.
