Beatty still teaches.

I had heard he did that, I have no clue. I thought he woul have to do something besides just coach. Unless he is retired from teaching and just hired as a coach.

 

Is Trinity that much better that they just hire someone to coach.

 

He teaches and fulfills other duties and responsibilities as any other faculty member - I believe.

 

Of course I will stand corrected by anyone who is better familiar than I ..............

What does he teach

Health & PE.

They have played some of the big boys in Texas I think and done well.

 

I would say they are more of what a 6A sized Highlands would be than 6A Scott County.

 

Bentonville always tries to play at a higher level in non-conference. We had a home and home with Kansas City Rockhurst the last two years with the road team winning both games. We had Euless Trinity (TX) come here in '13 and last season traveled to Broken Arrow (OK) and hosted Bergen Catholic (NJ) who both beat us before we got our act together to run the table.

I believe both schools will remain 7A based on the enrollment. Bentonville for sure. BHS currenly is about 3600 students. Fayetteville, our rival, is just over 1800. So a split right down the middle, would be status quo. Fayetteville has one high school and even with 1800 students, they've been very successful too. One of the best baseball programs in the whole country and football in the state title game each of the last five years.

 

I do not think Coach Beatty is going to Bentonville. I understand there is talk of a new school being built and 7A will no longer be an option for either school in Arkansas. A similar situation changed Coach Beatty's view of the Valdosta, Georgia opening a few years back.

 

Read the above post from BHS Booster. He said they probably will NOT drop classification, remaining 7A and will be about the size of their rival Fayetteville, which is also 7A.
