February 16, 201511 yr Not a lot in NKY yet, but the ground/roads are covered and it's still coming down pretty lightly. Made it in to work fairly easily. Hoping to last until about noon, then head home before the heavy stuff starts coming down. A lot of people being off work helped greatly.
February 16, 201511 yr I closed our plant in Lex today....hope it was a good decision. Would say so. Just took walk to get paper in Nicholasville (it did get delivered). Good 3-4" on ground and coming down harder now. Started between 3:30 and 4:30 this morning. Conditions seem to be deteriorating quickly around here.

February 16, 201511 yr Well it's kind of lame that I already had the day off for Presidents' Day. I see your point of view but I am just glad it's my regularly scheduled day off. Working in this mess would have been... as Sir Charles would say "just turrible".
February 16, 201511 yr Courts closed in Louisville so I just cancelled my appointments today and stayed home. I've heard come crazy reports of what the Watterson is like this morning. I'm not helping anyone by trotting out there behind the wheel of my Camry.
February 16, 201511 yr I'd say a good 6+ at least here in the Lawrenceburg/Frankfort area, and coming down hard. Roads were terrible this morning and probably won't be any better later on...I'm hearing might be worse.:scared:

February 16, 201511 yr I worry more about other drivers than myself on snowy days like this one. One can use all the common sense and caution possible but others don't always do the same. My dad is from the north and taught me from an early age how to drive in the snow. That's not the case for everyone, especially people who drive bigger vehicles and so they're fine but have little regard for the rest of the folks on the road. A guy who works in my office called me this morning about how he was basically run off the Watterson this morning by a guy in a huge truck who was absolutely flying past the the Third Street exit.
February 16, 201511 yr I feel like the forecast was right. Unless it really picks up NKY ends up with 5-8 Inches. It's like we'very had a steady flurry storm. It just doesn't quit.
