February 15, 201511 yr I wish the Local Sheriff's Dept had some of those mean scary looking Humvees for their deputies to use answering calls in all of this mess. Then people will complain that your sheriff is up to something by being too militarized.

February 15, 201511 yr Went out earlier, of course sleds and inner tubes were being bought....I picked up another kiddie pool. lol Last year, we got a little more out of this one small system that we thought...so, my wife and I took our oldest out for a day in it. Problem is, we didn't have anything. So, we took her across street to the hills of our golf course and went all day sitting in the kiddie pool. I was excited and ticked all in one. Excited for the obvious...mad at the world bc I had gone all of my years and not realizing that the best snow ride was kiddie pool; a 'Princess Sophia' themed pool at that. Jokers will get up and GET GONE!! :lol2:
February 15, 201511 yr Everyone in the Ashland area can relax. I just stopped by Dick's and picked up some boots and gloves. Between that and buying a snowblower in the fall, we won't be getting any snow.
February 15, 201511 yr Someday when I am retired I will love snow again like I did when I was a kid. I am retired but now I worry about my son driving out in this weather to work so early in the morning. Don't like snow.....
February 15, 201511 yr Wouldn't be surprised to see 14+ in some areas of EKY. Richmond is now looking at 10-15 inches. :eek: Reminds me of 98 when we were supposed to get a dusting and got 18 inches. At least this time they are prediction a huge amount.

February 16, 201511 yr My little home town of Booneville is directly in the center of the red colored heaviest snow....15-19 inches. I just hope it doesn't bring trees and branches down similar to what happened in January 1998. Most of Owsley County was without electricity for over a week.

February 16, 201511 yr I work at UK's Chandler Hospital so regardless of rain, sleet or snow my butt has to be there. I've got to be there at 6am tomorrow so I don't think I should struggle with that portion. Getting out might be a real struggle though.
