Haven't seen Bolden yet this year but will get to see him Friday.

I'm probably gonna get killed for this but in the 12th I'll take ELKINS. I think he changes the game more than anyone. His numbers aren't flashy but his defense is amazing

 

Understand. Same can be said in the 9th with Pangallo. He plays great defense and can drop dimes better than anyone in the region. His no look passes are a thing of beauty.

I think you could make a case for Jeremiah Bell, Hagen Tyler and Colton Elkin from Boyle County. Our best basketball is ahead of us and all 3 are extremely important to our success. All 3 bring 3 different things to the team so it's hard for me to say one is more deserving than the other. They are all equally important.

 

I'd say in the 12th most folks will likely pick Timmy Taylor.

Can't disagree with that, but Matlock and Wilkerson have to be close.

It's funny how numbers impact things. While I agree that Weyer is deserving of the 9th region player of the year at this point, and Drew McDonald should be considered for Mr Ky, I'd argue that hands down Pangallo is the most important player for NCC.

Also haven't seen Jake play since middle school but am not surprised that he is doing well. What kind of player is he now?

 

Kid scores from all three levels and has major range. He has bulked up some making it easier for him to get to the rim and finish through contact. With that be said he still has enough foot speed to beat people off the dribble.

I have never seen him play, but would he compare to the older Braxton Beverly in his ability or style of play? Just hearing him described that is who I think of. Anyone seen them both and think that is a good comparison? Just a guess on my part.

In the 3rd Region. Tough but I will go with any of these 3. Eli Wright at Apollo, Marshall Griffith at Daviess or Aric Holman at O'boro.

I'm a huge Ben Weyer fan but I'll be surprised if he wins region player of the year over Bolden or McDonald. Not because he isn't good enough, but I just don't see coaches voting that way.

 

Bolden is the best player in the region for a reason. Not a player in the region that coaches game plan to TRY to stop more than him.

 

Drew and Ben benefit from eachother as teams can't key on just one. Bolden sees every gimmick defense imaginable yet still leads the region in scoring and is the most dynamic player up here.

I don't think he is there with Beverly Yet, even at this time last year when Beverly was a soph. he still gets the nod..

Agree that, in the 7th Region, Jalen Perry is more deserving than any of the Trinity players at this point. Dwayne Sutton from Manual would be the other 7th Region player worthy of consideration.

 

Good call on Sutton. He is having a great season.

In the 16th Region I would have to say it is between Ryne Callahan and Jordan Perry. IMO I would give the nod to Callahan.
