Class of 2015 Rankings-PrepHoopsKy
I dont want to come ofr rude in anyway but these rankings are terrible imo. I agree with Ville30, Brandon Johnson from JTown played on a terrible team. He faced double and triple teams all season and still managed to average 26 ppg and shoot 45% from three. He also finished his career ranked in the top 10 in several categories. Im not going to mention any names I dont want to offend any kids but some of those names he has listed in the top 20 are laughable

2015-16 7th Region
I really like Central. Bibby is a great coach and it seems like kids really buy into his style of play. Brandon Wells might not be a big time college prospect but he is a very nice high school PG. I was also very impressed with Daivon Thompson. 6-foot-4 lefty can shoot it, post up smaller defenders and score in transition.

Highest Individual Scoring High School Basketball Games You've Witnessed
This season I saw Jeffersontown's Brandon Johnson pour in 43 points against Franklin County. He followed that performance up with a 37 point performance against Bullitt East and a 34 point performance against Central.

Inside the 6th Region (2/23/15) Season Review & Awards
Big game tonight at Mercy in the 1st round of districts, as Jeffersontown takes on Fern Creek. Fern Creek defeated Jtown by 3 at home in their only reg. season meeting. The Chargers were up by double digits at halftime. Last season Jtown won the reg. season matchup, only to lose by 2 in the rematch in districts. Its always close when these two rivals meet up.

Senior memories......
I second that buttels. To all the seniors around the great Bluegrass state, thank you for all the memories. This senior class is solid and a lot of these young men will go on to have great careers at the next level.

VIDEO: Jeffersontown SG Brandon Johnson C/O 2015
The first week of February was extraordinary for Jeffersontown senior Brandon Johnson. The 6-foot-3 SG poured in 43 points against Franklin County, then followed that performance up by netting 37 against Bullitt East and 34 against Central. Here is a nice highlight video displaying Johnson's scoring outburst.

Jeffersontown 78 Southern 74
That was my mistake. It was Jtown @ Southern. The Chargers played Valley last week. Thanks for the correction.

Jeffersontown 78 Southern 74
Great game at Valley tonight as the Chargers defeated the Trojans. Brandon Johnson lead JTown with 27 points, 10 Rebounds and four assists. Wanye Smith and Jimmy Kwizera came up big for the Chargers also. With the score tied Smith got a big rebound with less then 10 seconds left in the game. He laid the ball in and got fouled to put Jtown up two. He missed the free throw but Kwizera got the rebound and laid the ball in to give Jtown a four point lead with 6 seconds left. Good win for the Chargers who have now won 3 in a row.

Fern Creek vs Central Predictions (2/12/15)
Im gonna have to go with Central. They have impressed me both times I have watched them this season. They play great together. Well coached and they get after it on defense. I think it will be a great test for those young kids at Fern Creek.

Pleasure Ridge Park 70 Moore 68
WOW!!!!! Thats a very shocking score. I wonder if PRP played without some their players.

Jeffersontown 71 Valley 63
Johnson was great once again for Jtown. He struggled some in the first half and only scored 10 points. He came out hot in the 3rd however finishing the quarter with 15 points and giving JTown a lead that they never gave up.
-
Jeffersontown 71 Valley 63
Its been a tough season for Valley but they only have one senior on their team. A lot of freshmen and sophomores on that team.
-
Central 76 Jeffersontown 57
Central is good. Really good! They play together, tbey are great on defense and they are well coached. Daivon Thompson led the Yellowjackets with 25 points. Thompson is a really nice player. Brandon Johnson led Jtown with 34 points, 9 Rb and 3 assists. Johnson was 7-11 from three and 13-19 from the floor.

Bullitt East 66 Jeffersontown 58
And lets not forget he is leading the city in scoring while facing double and triple teams on a consistent basis. Pretty impressive when you can score and everybody in the gym knows you are getting the ball.
-
Bullitt East 66 Jeffersontown 58
GO HARD anx 6th region guy hit the nail on the head. Johnson doesnt have a supporting cast. No disrespect towards any of the other players they just dont have experience. Johnson shoots a lot and the coach runs plays through him because be has to. If he didnt they wouldnt score. Period. Johnson is both a record holder and a winner. His HS team may be struggling but lets not forget he averaged 15 ppg on an aau team that won aau nationals. He is without question the ultimate team player. He does what he has to to win. Whether its by scoring 35 or 18 and getting others involved.

Bullitt East 66 Jeffersontown 58
Not sure how many times you have watched JTown this season but ive been to all but 2 games. Johnson usally gets 3 or 4 assists per game but last night he had to look for his shot because no one else on the team could score. There have been a lot of games like that this season.
-
Bullitt East 66 Jeffersontown 58
Jared Farris led BE with 23 and Tyler Sharpe added 17 in a 66-58 win over JTown last night. Brandon Johnson led JTown with 37 points on 11-21 shooting.

Manual 76 Jeffersontown 58
No surprise Sutton had a big game for Manual. Long, athletic wing who can shoot, post up or take his man off the dribble. Def. Mr. Bball candidate. He finished with 30 points. Johnson had a nice game also for Jtown. He is obviously known as a shooter but tonight he did a great job getting to the rim. He finished with 23 points on 7-12 from the floor and 4-8 from behind the arc.

Jeffersontown @ Western Predictions (1/23)
If Johnson's shot isnt falling Jtown has no chance to win. He was heating up in the 4th q and hit a 3 to tie the game up with about a minute left. But after that his teammates didnt even look for him. They took it upon there selves and either missed, got their shot blocked or turned it over. Johnson should have the ball in his hands 90% of the time especially late in close games. Every point they scored in the 4th q was either Johnson scoring or off an assist by Johnson. The offense should go through him. Not sure why they dont look for him more.

Fern Creek 78 Jeffersontown 75
Johnson finished with 21 pts 8 Rbs and 5 assists. Creek did a great job on him defensively but I liked how Johnson found the open man when he was double teamed. JTown also got a big contribution from Dennis (cant remember his 1st name). Johnson was held to just 5 pts in the 1st half but Dennis stepped up with 12 1st half pts. Wow what can you say about those freshmen for FC. All 3 are going to special. Most importantly they have a coach in Schooler that will support them on and off the court.
