Kentucky 89 Ole Miss 86 OT

Featured Replies

If Ole Miss continues to shoot like they did tonight, because most of their baskets had a high difficulty level, they can play with any team in the country. But evidently it's just UK that brings these supernatural performances out with teams, because the Rebels have lost 5 games.

Agree that UK needed a game like this but who would've thought it would come at home? The Cats did a lot of things poorly tonight.

Liked the fight, and how the Harrisons came to play. Willie finally showed up in OT. Lyles looked hungover the whole game and had no motor skills at all, brutal performance by him tonight. KAT tried but just couldn't get anything going. Dakari disappeared again, not a fan of skinny Dakari so far.

The box score shows Trey Lyle's stats were:

28 minutes

10 points

4 rebounds

2 assists

2 blocks

1 assist

Hangover, no motor skills, and brutal performance?

Dakari is struggling.

One of the worst officiated games I think I have ever seen on the collegiate level.

The way college basketball is officiated as a whole is disgusting to me. Turns into a free throw fest. Perhaps reset the bonus after ten minutes in each half would improve the game?

Cleaning up the lane like the NBA does would also impact the college game in a meaningful way IMO.

Dakari is struggling.

Agree.

Even in his new svelte body, Dakari has no explosion and no "ups".

One rebound he went up for the ball hit the ground right after he started to jump up for it. I just didn't think he was himself today.

Also, Dakari might have the worst hands in college basketball.

Cal? Is that you?

Camp Cal didn't help much. Very poor D and rebounding for a lot of the game. WCS had decent OT but that was it. 23 point favorite at home vs a 9-5 team.

They will be just fine.

Ole Miss made a couple stupid shots tonight, but that's what happens when you let someone hit a few shots and get hot.

Glad to see the Cats battle and thrilled they pool it out.

I feel like Booker stepped up on defense down the stretch. He had a few real nice defensive plays, by just sitting down and not going for shot fakes on drives. Anyone else feel extremely comfortable every time he shoots a three off a pass? Love his stroke.

Nice to see Aaron Harrison hit some shots tonight.

First off, give Coach A. Kennedy all the credit for having his team prepared and ready to play. I don't believe that enough credit has gone to him.

Welcome to Conference play, this one just proved that especially in conference games there is no one going to be impressed just because of the name on the chest. SEC teams....all of them, are going to play about 10 miles over their head bc with the exception of Florida, their game with U.K. is their national championship.

I was disappointed with the defense tonight. Far too many times an Miss. player drove directly to the basket with No One picking them up....far too easy. Aaron H. had 26 pts. and a great shooting night. Andrew H. was imo "mia" at times, missed a couple of big FT's as well. WCS the same at times.

Definitely no need for anyone to go in panic mode. I think what tonight came down to was that Ole Miss was very well prepared, played harder than U.K. and it just about bit the Cats in the butt. Hopefully this will be an early wake up call and the A & M game on Saturday will go much better and / or as it should.

Just now finished with the 1st half. Second unit was a huge letdown when they came in the first time. They let Ole Miss get back into it & it was close from there on.

I walked away heartbroken, but never prouder in a loss.
