TCU 42 Ole Miss 3

Featured Replies

They beat State and Bama then were forced to play this game.

Makes me wonder if Alabama should have been the team on the fringe of the F4? After watching LSU and Ole Miss, I have to question just how good the vaunted SECw was. Thank goodness for Brock Huard, he was intentionally heading off all the typical SEC excuses such as boredom and injuries. Pointed out that while Ole Miss is missing some players, this was the exact team that pasted Miss St to end the year. Two top rated SEC defenses gutted over last two days, shows how antiquated SEC offenses are.

Absolutely comical Ole Miss still held a top 10 ranking after 3 losses and laying an egg to Arkansas. So overrated and I'm glad TCU exposed them and made a case for themselves.

The SEC is not as strong at the top this year, have a lot of good teams, but teams like Ole Miss and Miss. St are not top 10 teams in my opinion. It will not surprise me at all if Bama loses to OSU.

TCU makes a strong statement in this game.:angrybird4:

This game makes one wonder how TCU would have fared against the four playoff teams.

After losing the game against Auburn in the fashion they lost, Ole Miss only had 1 game they were interested in (Miss St). They had a great year and team, but they still dont have the overall depth of an Alabama, Auburn, Georgia or even a down LSU. I was not shocked at all by this game. TCU was a hungrier team. They were out to show that they were truly a viable candidate for the final four. Ole Miss just happy to be the Mississippi State Champ

Lou Holtz:

"These SEC defenses are not the SEC defenses of ten years ago."

At least, I think that's what he said. Not always easy for me to tell.

Sounds like an SEC excuse? They were bored? Less motivated? Simply not true. They aren't very good, and played a very good team and got throttled. Saw nothing like the offense TCU threw at them all year, and saw no team that had the overall team speed that TCU had.

Agree. I felt the Top 4 was Oregon, TCU, FSU, and Alabama, in that order. Still think Alabama is REALLY good, probably top 4 but not as good as past. Said all year that the two Miss teams were simply not that good.

It was sort of fun when they were ranked 1 and 2, but it couldn't last.

Ole Miss didnt match up at all. No excuse here. TCU is a bonafide top 5 team in the country. Ole Miss played great with a very good core group of players through the first 6 or 7 weeks of the year. I think you could say they were an overachiever. Once they hit that wall, they were pretty much done. It's Ole Miss. I dont think they make anyone shake in their boots. I was amazed they could be ranked so high at the end of the season. They could have lost by a trillion to Arkansa late. They didnt belong in this game even if they were an SEC team.

Bo Wallace threw in the towel early in this one. It too was intercepted by TCU.

Ole Miss was already exposed way before today, Arkansas did that. To give Ole Miss some credit they did run over the same Boise St team that is currently dump trucking #10 Arizona
