TCU 42 Ole Miss 3

Featured Replies

Off topic a little, but I think the Texas Bowl could have made a killing thru tv and all other areas if they could have matched up TCU and BAYLOR to determine "only 1 champion" for the Big 12 and the state of Texas.

Ole Miss was already exposed way before today, Arkansas did that. To give Ole Miss some credit they did run over the same Boise St team that is currently dump trucking #10 Arizona

Spot on Jumper Dad. However, it's obvious SEC is down and the SEC haters have to take their shots when they can.

Heck of a year, isn't it?

Bo Wallace threw in the towel early in this one. It too was intercepted by TCU.

That's a good one. :lol2:

Ole Miss didnt match up at all. No excuse here. TCU is a bonafide top 5 team in the country. Ole Miss played great with a very good core group of players through the first 6 or 7 weeks of the year. I think you could say they were an overachiever. Once they hit that wall, they were pretty much done. It's Ole Miss. I dont think they make anyone shake in their boots. I was amazed they could be ranked so high at the end of the season. They could have lost by a trillion to Arkansa late. They didnt belong in this game even if they were an SEC team.

Agree. They absolutely looked like they didn't belong in that bowl game. Which was the worse embarrassment, Ole Miss or Oklahoma?

Oklahoma:popcorn:

One of the things I hate about bowl games, at these bigger bowls. Way too much time between end of the season and theses games. It's hard to tell if you are getting both at their best or if they are rusty. Not making excuses for Ole Miss, mainly because I really don't give a crap. TCU is good and could make a case for being in the top 4, however I don't think Ole Miss is really this bad or that TCU is this much better. I really wish they only had a week off before playing these.

SEC is proven they are weak once again!

Yeah, its such a terrible conference.

Oklahoma. Some of the experts were talking them up during preseason as a legitimate title contender. I don't think anybody was making that kind of prediction for Mississippi - even though they did have that monster recruiting class a couple of years ago.

Ole Miss beat Bama when Ole mis was a different team, but Bama was as well. Bama now has figured out the offense, where when they lost to Ole Miss they were still figuring it out. That tough SEC west just wore them out and depleted them :sssh:

It's a whacky variable no sport or level of football incurs. I've said as such for years.

Terrible way to end the season for my Rebels. Too many injuries and the year long problem of bad O-line play doomed what could have been an even more special season for Ole Miss.

A building block year is what this is in the end but a good one, beating #1 Alabama, 2 other New Year's 6 teams in Boise and Miss State, as well a 10 win Memphis team that won their conference. More depth is being added in recruiting, with 2 5 star O-linemen among others coming in.

Can be a great season next year if they can get consistent QB play and Treadwell, Tunsil, and Denzel Nkemdiche can come back from their broken legs at last years level.
