Nobody in the 9th going to put the 9th region all time leading scorer on their list?

Jaime Walz?

Ray Harper played at Bremen High School.

Yeah ..shame all those schools consolidated...Corky Withrow was another great from coal country

A few more (There's also another big stocky white forward/center from South Laurel from around 2005-ish, and I can't remember his name, but he performed quite well in the Sweet 16 a couple of years in a row. Something like last name "Allen" I think???)

From Region 12- West Jessamine - Jarrod Polson - UK

From Region 13 - South Laurel - Ty Proffitt - Notre Dame/Morehead St./U of Tennessee

From Region 15 - Shelby Valley - Elisha Justice - Louisville/U of Pikeville

I'm gonna try a 10th but won't get it right so please feel free to add to or take away.

Chris Lofton

Brent Bach

Chris Harrison

Alvin Simms

Darren Feldhause

That's just scratching the surface of all the greats that have played in the 10th like I said I've probally overlooked some one that's more deserving and I applogize in advance.

Ronnie Lyons , no way he could be left out.

10th region--Gerry Calvert, Chris Lofton, Deron Feldhaus,,Ronny Lyons, Larry Wood, George Cooke, Fred Walker, Clay Evans ,Alvin Simms and Chris Harrison. Can't just pick 5.

G- Ronnie Lyons - Mason Co

G- Preston Knowles - GRC

G- Linville Puckett - Clark Co

F - Chris Lofton - Mason Co

F - Darius Miller - Mason Co

Clark Co was in the 16th region when Puckett played, but to me they are a current 10th region school, so I'm including him.

Lots of guards in the 10th, with significantly less options on the inside.

I'll go out on a limb and put that team up against whatever anyone else comes up with from the other regions.

7th Region:

PG - Rajon Rondo - Eastern (long NBA career, has an NBA ring, 4 All Star games, numerous triple-double & assist records)

SG - Darrell Griffith - Male (Dr. Dunkenstein, 2nd pick in 1980 NBA Draft)

SF - Allen Houston - Ballard (11th Overall Pick in '93, Tennessee's All-Time Leading Scorer, 2 Time All Star)

PF - Rudy Macklin - Shawnee (NCAA 1st Team All American 2 years*; injured but still played 3 NBA seasons)

C - Wes Unseld - Seneca (2nd Player in ABA to win Rookie of the Year & MVP in season {Wilt was 1st}, averaged a double-double for pro career)

Bench:

SG - Ralph Beard - Male (toughest omission on a team full of guards just based on absence of stats)

SF - Wesley Cox - Male (18th Pick in 1978 NBA Draft)

SF - Jeff Lamp - Ballard (15th Overall Pick in '81, 9 year NBA career)

SF - Winston Bennett - Male (pre-injury, KY Mr. Basketball, McD All-American, NBA career post injury)

PF - Michael Bush - Male (simply an amazing athlete)

*Interesting Note: Rudy Macklin is in elite company, as he is one of only four LSU Tigers to have his jersey retired-- Shaquille O'Neal, Pete Maravich, and Bob Pettit are the other 3.

Very good list.

Might I suggest Charlie Tyra (Atherton..I think..and UL) or Ron King (Central/Florida State) instead of Michael Bush?

Nobody in the 9th going to put the 9th region all time leading scorer on their list?

Jaime Walz?

sorry, thought we were in the boys forum.

9th Region

Brandon Hatton - Dixie

Scott Draud- Highlands

Jack Jennings- Holmes

John Turner- Newport

Derek Smith- Highlands

A few more (There's also another big stocky white forward/center from South Laurel from around 2005-ish, and I can't remember his name, but he performed quite well in the Sweet 16 a couple of years in a row. Something like last name "Allen" I think???)

Walt Allen

9th region is very difficult.

My gut tells me that the two Mr. basketball's should be on the list: Doug Schloemer & Ross Neltner.

The others are open for debate.

Jennings from Holmes

Scott Draud from Highlands

Brandon Hatton from Dixie

Justin Doellman from Ryle

Nick Ruthsatz from CovCath

Dicky Beal from Holmes

Derek Smith from Highlands

Pittman from Holmes

Lots of legitimate options.

Walt Allen

That's it...Thanks.

It was driving me nuts.
