I wouldn't worry too much about the doom and gloom predictions. As I recall both this year's team and the 2010 team were also rumored to not be very good coming up. Both are state champions. That's not to say the coming years will repeat those accomplishments, just that the players who don't look so good in grades 7-10 have ended up pretty darn good players by time they reach their final two years. I like the odds of that continuing.

Hope you are correct. I just like everyone else would love nothing more than that to be so. Guess we will have to wait and see. I'm finished it's been fun but I'm out.

Can anyone answer the question to why was the Band not included into the state champ pictures? Some parent's are not happy about this and we would like to know why everyone was in it but them? Why does the bank seem not so important in the football program when they traveled down with us did they not.

They should have jumped on in there when the pics were being taken or did the KHSAA stop them from coming on the field? I say more the merrier in the pics!

Maybe not enough room if they platoon the band?

They have a rather small number this year more than any other from what I have seen of it. But I seen on other chat sites as well as people talking saying they was very un happy with how they was not included in any events. So I figures I would ask why.

I'll cut him some slack, just because he is fairly new to BGP. I just say there are MANY HHS fans on here that have watched and played football for HHS and know what they are talking about.

 

My suggestion is, take off the blue shaded glasses, step back from the bar and lay off the blue kool-aid. Help your son by giving him encouragement and making him realize that there are upperclassmen that already have Friday night game experience. This isn't a hill that he will have to climb, it's a mountain, and a huge mountain. The good thing about HHS if you have what it takes, and are the best player at your position then you will play, but beating out the J and S's whom already have game experience will be tuff. There are many seniors on H's team that never become starters, and very, very, very, few that start as Sophomores. I hope your son does well.

I seriously doubt the guy even has a kid playing for Highlands. To me, he's just stirring the pot in response to some similar pot stirring threads started by Highlands folks about other programs. What goes around, comes around I guess.

 

Irony of the situation is that a lot of responses (like your's for example) allows real Highlands fans to point out the many positives about Highlands football and to point out why Highlands football is so very successful year after year.

I think somebody is playing around with Highlands fans.

I was going to post this in the CCH schedule thread but didn't want to ruin that thread, so maybe Highlands#1 can do a preview of next years schedule based solely on his/her/brothers/sisters opinion since they all seem to be so knowledgeable at the subject.
