I have heard a lot of doom and gloom about HHS team next year etc. I just don't belive it until I see it. There is one thing you can't deny and that is the winning DNA they have instilled in the underclassmen. I think that actually accounts forces than some are willing to give credit for.

 

Just knowing how how to win actually is a big asset which can help overcome some deficiencies IMO.

All year people talked about how this years team was no good and wouldn't win state this year. Well the boys definitely proved that wrong. The jv team this year wasn't successful but last year only lost one game. I think the poor season this year was due to most of those players were starting on varsity this year. Highlands will be returning a great class of seniors next year and should continue the tradition. In highlands#1's defense if there is any, he picked the teams worst returning position of d-line. Outside of Robinson they really don't have any players ready to step up. The few juniors or sophomores that got any playing time this year may be switching to linebacker position. But I do know that the coaching staff has the ability to turn a piece of coal into a diamond so I'm really not worried. Good luck in 2015 birds and prove all those haters wrong again.

If that is what we have to look forward to then we as a football team are in big trouble. Never seen not even 1 boy ready to step up and fill any shoes. Not even half a shoe. But as you said in the past maybe things will change some time for the season to start.

If they are switching to linebacker they will be waiting another year will they not? Several juniors saw extensive time in the middle and two more saw quality time outside.

Strange things happen to players between their junior and senior years. Have you seen the pictures of cowboy, big country, and Hoge when they were juniors? Now see their pictures when they are seniors. HHS will be just fine!!

Highlands#1 are you even listening to yourself I was trying to help your cause. If you listened to what I was saying is that there are lot of returning seniors so they just need to plug in a few. Mostly qb. So we will be ok. As returning line backers there was Dougherty and dress man any one else

No I was listening to you. But why pull from the JV if they are a losing team? I didn't see many JV players missing from the game. I know a few JV players who I will not name because I do not want to hurt any feelings but even they would not be able to fill the big shoes of varsity. I do think incoming soph will be able to step up but we will have to wait and see I guess as you all have said. I wish them all the best of luck
