I know Mr Basketball is more about awarding a full season of work, not necessarily the best player

 

If this were the case, then Ruthsatz would have won it last year

After a month of games, I think 3 players are most deserving of Mr. Basketball: Cam Justice, Jalen Perry, & Dwayne Sutton. Not necessarily in that order either.

I was looking at the KHSAA site today and pulled some stats on the players that have been mentioned in this forum.

I know there is much more to the game than stats, however I thought these were very interesting and all these players are flat out getting it done! Lots of season left……….

Going off the above stats, Drew McDonald is Mr Basketball.....

Dwayne Sutton, Jalen Perry has got to be the front runners for MR. Kentucky but we all know there is alot of poltics when it comes to this. These two "kids" are having a great season.

What am I missing?

The one thing I will say about Perry is he has probably played against the toughest schedule and still put up great numbers.

 

Cam Justice is deserving but his numbers will be inflated for the simple fact that he plays in a terrible region.

 

McDonald's numbers speak for themself. Interested to see how he does against St Louis Christian this Sat...front line goes 6'7, 6'9, 7'0.

 

Bolden got off to a slow start but is starting to come around after a big performance at the KOB.

 

Spalding and Holman are going to have impressive stats because not only are they skilled but more often than not, a team will have nobody to match up with their size.

 

Dont forget about Jaqualis Matlock. ..easy for teams to key on him and he's still putting up big numbers.

I'm thinking you're missing that Jalen Perry's team defeated Drew McDonald's team when they went head to head.

Spalding is only avg. 11 points not that big of a match up?????
