November 30, 201411 yr You can't be mad how the UL players reacted after what UK did do, I'll give you that. But for a coach to act this immature shows how he hasn't changed one bit. Coaches are supposed to control and calm everyone down, Petrino made it worse.

November 30, 201411 yr Towles will have his work cutout for him to try to beat out Barker. He made 3 good throws all day. It's wasn't the best played game but it was really entertaining. UL made a ton of mistakes to keep UK in the game and they still couldn't do anything with it. That's an opinion not sure Barker will be much better than towels..

November 30, 201411 yr I have a problem with any UK football player running their mouth, but a bigger problem with a guy who isn't going to play at all running his mouth. Your team has a losing record. You're playing on the road against a team so much better than you that they can beat you playing their 3rd string QB. Lose this game & you'll be 1 of 2 conference teams not going to a bowl game. You're the perennial laughingstock of the SEC. Throw on top of that you're a guy who isn't going to play at all during this game. What can you possibly talk trash about? I'd just like to see UK accomplish something significant on the field before running the mouth off it. Yeah, given its history, UK has zero to woof about. Hats off to the 'Cats for the scare.

Every account that I have seen and read indicates that UK instigated the melee. Once it is started all kinds of things can happen. The fact remains that UK started it. Low class move.
November 30, 201411 yr Random thoughts: Shouldn't someone be starting a Kyle Bolin and the NFL thread about now? J/k. But I've seen it happen about as prematurely for other QB's this year. Parker is a stud. During the Bama game they called their WR the best in the nation. I beg to differ. If UK really allowed Parker into one-on-one situations today, a lot of you are mad at the wrong coordinator. UK's quarterback numbers have been pretty bad lately, particularity today. The numbers were pretty good earlier in the year. Did they change coordinators midseason? How many points did UK give up against Tennessee? Teams seem to score a lot against the Cats, but I'm likely wrong. I don't get all the trash talk and he said/she said stuff about pregame, et al. Practice, prepare, and go play.
November 30, 201411 yr I loved the altercations before the game, it gave UK the right mentality for the rest of the game and set the tone. For the first time in weeks UK was the hammer on a lot of plays. Also UL fans get off your high horse when your head coach was in the middle of it as well where UK's was not. But anyways, really impressed with Bolin today. He has the moxy of a veteran out there. Maybe Mark the Whiner should have been in the middle of it controlling his ... My seat was right behind the UK bench. Has lots of fun shouting season's over as the losers left the field, especially the ones that turned around and yelled at the crowd every time UK did something good. Funny those guys slinked away when Louisville picked the Towles pass at the end?????
November 30, 201411 yr Heck, Petrino shoved a UK player. That kinda crosses the line if you ask me Probably never a good idea to touch a player if you're a coach, but I've seen WAY worse coach/player interactions.
