I'm fine, I'm not the one who has a problem with "any UK player running his mouth." Both teams were going at each other, not just UK players. It takes two to argue I believe. I never even heard a UK player run his mouth, but then again, I wasn't on the field.

 

If you don't think UK was the reason all that broke out then you are either the biggest homer on the face of the planet, or you are just refusing to accept what happened. They came into PJCS looking to pick a fight and that's exactly what they did. Congrats, they got what they wanted, and now they look like fools for it. Had Louisville been the aggressors, we'd be reading about how the team is full of thugs and how Petrino runs a dirty program. YAWN.

If only a few UK benchwarmers wouldn't have "ran their mouth" the ul coaches wouldn't have gotten involved though. Clearly, UK is at fault.

Probably never a good idea to touch a player if you're a coach, but I've seen WAY worse coach/player interactions.

I get the kids because they are kids, I expect there to be a few idiots when you get 200 teenagers together in a highly emotion environment but there is no probably for the adults.

If the altercations had happened right and midfield, I can understand that line of thinking. At one point, they were almost on the 35 yard line of Louisville's side of the field...

For the record, I don't find the fight before the game to be that big of a deal. It's a highly charge emotional environment with kids who are way past revved up. I saw it happen multiple times over the weekend. My guess is the coaches are ok with it also, it doesn't make the players bad kids or the coaches bad guys.

He obviously remembers the stuff going on at the beginning of the game... Remembering a specific part of all three of those altercations would probably be a bit tougher I'd say. I didn't hear the question he was asked about it, so I can't say for sure. I will say he wasn't out there just pushing kids for the hell of it.

3) IMO this is exactly what this rivalry needs, it needs a high level of disdain to draw the country in. I believe this rivalry has great potential in the years to come, especially if it moves to thanksgiving night like it's rumored to be.

Plus, our society craves things such as this and then moans and groans when it actually happens. I don't have a problem with the kids, I have a problem when adults misbehave and in my opinion nobody was really out of line in this case. Even the shove by Petrino was justified given the circumstances. I don't understand why he fells the need to deny it because he did what he felt was necessary. I would just own it.

I have no issues with any of the pre-game woofing. It seemed to work for UK D. I don't doubt Coach Stoops indirectly OK'd it.

Order of Culpability for "jawing" / "woofing" / "shenanigans"

Lowest - Fans (they pay to be there and are not formally affiliated with the program

Middle - Players (they represent their school and need to be more controlled than fans; however, they are young kids and expectations need to be tempered)

Highest - Coaches (they are grown men that represent their schools and need to be held to the highest standard)
