On what he thinks has happened to Towles in the last four games: "Well, I think it would be unfair to put all of it on Patrick. I think if you asked him – and certainly you saw the game – there are throws and there are plays that he has to do better.The quick throws and the plays that we're counting on that are an extension of our run, that has to be on the money. That can't be at the shoelaces. There's a big difference between second and 6 and second and 10, and those are plays that we have to execute. I think it's fair to say that he wasn't on the money with some of that. Give Louisville credit. They have a great defense and play extremely hard, and you knew it was gonna be a hard day with some of it. It's just the plays that are there, we need to make."

 

On if he ever considered pulling Patrick Towles: "I don't know. We considered it. We thought about it. It took him awhile to get going, and we were struggling a little bit offensively. Fortunately we got some turnovers and a few big plays offensively, but we really weren't playing our best at that position today, that's for sure."

I told everyone this would be a close game. Stoops is a good coach and had 2 weeks to prepare and had the defense ready. UK offense was average.

 

UL offense gave up 17 points. Defense played well on short field a lot during the game. Once again special teams had a major error again today. Not happy about special teams play all year. Bolin played extremely well.

 

On a side note before the game UK players showed a lot of class as they flipping off 3 -10 year olds before the game. #1 on defense spit at the kids. Classy guy! I don't care if this is a rivalry game act like some body I don't care what team you play for.

 

Neal Brown will not be a loss for the Cats! Stoops is getting done. They need a better OC- someone who can coach Qbs

Your side note is garbage. Some of the things being said to the UK players from UL fans were things I would never say to my worst enemies. Just flat out despicable. Joke.

Say what you want I was sitting there watching these players- I am sure fans did say some things - I am talking about the kids. But this kind of behavior was through out warm ups today. Only joke is denial of the behavior.

HA! The only thing embarrassing was the drop pick that would have sealed the game. Both teams were chippy the whole game. Classic UL fan to call it "bush league" when they opponent punches back.

As for the game. UK squandered their opportunity to put UL away early by settling for field goals. The play book got very small, but I have to believe that is due to the lack of solid QB play, and lack of overall offensive talent. I'm sad to see Neal go, but HC jobs aren't jobs you turn down.

 

Hopefully Towels can come back in next year with confidence and a better feel for the pocket.

The DB (he knows who he is) cost his team a bowl game by not catching that wide open interception.

 

Not all errors are equal. The outcome of the game was changed by this blunder.

 

UK wouldn't have been able to run out the clock even if he made that play, so "not so fast my friend". There were a lot of plays that could have changed the outcome, but we will never know since they were not made, and in a few cases, shouldn't have been made.

As far as the extra curricular activities it was started in pre game and even the announcers and the guy on the SEC network stated Uk went on the Louisville side of the 50 as well as stomping on the Cardinal.

Went back and listened to the announcer and he said, "if you cross the fifty in pre game you are looking to fight."
