Hand dipped. No comparison. I definitely like soft serve....but I don't even see how you could compare any soft serve cone to a hand dipped cone of Graeter's.

Tried it for the first time last week, just in time. I'm a fan.

Ahhh, not true my friend. Has far less milk fat in it on average than "regular" ice cream. It might be a form of ice cream...but it aint "ice cream".

Soft Serve in a cone is probably the way to go for me. But my favorite ice cream of any kind is Greaters double chocolate chip in a bowl.

This thread got me thinking about my favorite premium ice creams. One of my favorite brands that I had not eaten in years is Steve's. I did a quick Google search and found a local Safeway that carries the brand and had a bowl of Steve's Bklyn Blackout and some Mexican Chocolate today. Both were great.

 

I also love Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey and Cherry Garcia.

We are tied at 50% each. Interesting!

I will eat both, but prefer hand dipped.

 

Soft serve is great for cones. I'm not a cone person---like I was when I was a kid. I always do dish.

Hand-dipped, and it ain't close. That other stuff can sometimes be half (or more) air.
