October 9, 201411 yr Over the past few weeks, the chatter on most of the sports shows I listen to on my work commute is that Michigan is going to fire both Hoke and their AD. They want a new AD to pick the new coach. I would say that it's not a matter of "if" Hoke is fired, but more a matter of "when". I think David is arrogant and very average as an Administrator, but them firing him would require MELONS of which I don't think the school has. They would be more likely to try and put him into Development with no change in pay, but firing him would be really hard for me to fathom. I'm not for one second suggesting I don't think Hoke will be fired, I'm suggesting his list isn't being shared with anyone.

October 9, 201411 yr Ohio is warm?? An outlier at best. Huge numbers of the top recruits are from Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, or California. They therefore logically end up at schools in those places.

What I have heard Cowherd say is that there have not been many real impact quarterbacks come into the NFL from the Big Ten recently, not all northern schools...hard to argue with him. Michigan is NOT the job it used to be. They will not be able to get either of the Harbaughs or Les Miles most likely IMO. They may have to "settle" for someone like Stoops and to get him will have to open their checkbook. If you are Stoops and Michigan comes knocking, do you take it or wait for another big time job that you think is a better opportunity??

October 10, 201411 yr If Franklin will go to Penn State, I look at Stoops very similar and he would go to Michigan. Not sure Stoops has Franklin's body of work yet, though.
