According to the link and what I'm seeing on Twitter it's true I for one think it's :poop:

Campbell County PA guy is gonna have a fit.

 

I can think of a few that won't be happy.

I've announced games before and while I think the new stipulations are petty I don't have any issues with any of it except for the no added emphasis on scoring. I'd excitedly announce when the home team scored and that should always be allowed. I'm fine with everything else.

I'd like to see flops penalized with a technical.

IMO that's the pa announcers main job pumping up the crowd.

 

That is interesting, I feel 100% the opposite about it. I think the PA's main job is to communicate information to all in attendance. Let the student section and the cheerleaders be responsible for pumping up the crowd. Just my opinion.

A) That isn't from the KHSAA.

 

B) A great number of overboard PA announcers have caused this knee-jerk over-reaction, perhaps you should place your blame with them.

 

C) A PA announcer losing the pom-pom's shouldn't cause the game to become vanilla.

 

How soon we all forget the thread about Cooper's PA announcer and his tendency of trying to make himself the center of attention, and not the game itself.

Not technically a point of NFHS point of emphasis, but what you saw at the beginning of the NCAA last, is what will be called in high school this year.

 

 

Hand contact more than once or with two hands, arm bar, etc. is supposed to be called. I hope they do, but certain teams will get away with it while others will not.

I think it will be interesting, I think some coaches will have an issue with it, and I think in the end it will be the same brutal game in some regions.

This. Announcer can and should do so without becoming the "center of attention".
