Lloyd Tubman Suspended Indefinitely

Seems a little odd that she peacefully walked him out and said goodbye afterwards. I'll be interested to see how this one plays out.

I don't think it's a coincidence that UK in the future as long as the top recruiting takes place, will continue to have players getting in trouble. the reason I say this is I have a belief that the higher the recruit is then more times than not as he was growing up he has lived the entitlement life in which they believe they are above the law and can do whatever they wish because in the past that type of attitude was overlooked because of who they were.

I could be so far off, but it's just something I've always thought. The feeling of entitlement has taught many of these kids no discipline because they feel if they do something wrong it will be taken care of for them or simply overlooked.

Just my opinion.

Not commenting on the Tubman issue, just making an observation here, but:

One thing that I think is really lacking in athletics right now is the way kids who are punished, especially at lower levels, can hold their coaches and programs hostage with the threat of transfer.

You want to punish me and I'm your best player? Fine, I'll go play for a coach who won't punish me.

Man. Past sexual history is going to be brought into this. This trial is going to be extremely personal and emotional if it gets to that. Normally you can't bring a victim's sexual history into evidence. However when there is a history of sex between 2 people you can only in regards to their past encounters together.

You're absolutely right, their prior consensual sexual activity will likely play a huge role if this thing goes to trial.

What role?

What role?

Generally evidence regarding the victim's sexual propensity or sexual history is excluded from trial. One of the exceptions is the victim's prior consensual activity with the accused Defendant.

I have no clue as to the facts of this case, but hypothetically the role would be something along these lines: they both have engaged in consensual sexual activity together X number of times over the past several months/years. The relationship soured and/or ended & now she claims one of the late night escapades is rape when it was really just another night of consensual sex.

Who walked him out? The victim?

The safety who was in the DUI that almost killed, what ended up being the outcome with that? Then yes, the gun incident was taken far far to lightly in this day and age. We will see what happens with Tubb.

The gun incident? Come on man, I realize the world we live in but two major contributors were suspended for having a toy gun. What do you want, would you like to ruin their lives for doing something foolish? Sometimes you need to take intent into consideration. If they meant to send the campus into a panic, well then that's a different story but it's not the case. You are and have tried to make more out of this than it is. The real question is what is your agenda?

If the cops showed up and saw those four with what they thought were guns and fired at them, and your child/friend/spouse was killed by a stray bullet, how would you feel about those four?

Huge reach but I'll play.

The cops would have told them to stop what they were doing and wouldn't have started shooting at the players unless the players would have given them a reason to shoot at them. I'll also say that when cops shoot they very rarely hit innocent bystanders.

This will get NASTY if it goes to trial.

I was obviously speaking in hypothetical terms, and yes, it's a reach. But some people act as if they shouldn't have even been suspended.

Not that big of a reach. Depending on the guys' reactions, cops see a gun and problems happen.

I think they got off pretty easily.
