Once it gets to trial the odds are heavily in the woman's favor. However, knowing public defenders there are defendants That get the raw end on that. We will see what the evidence shows.

No. I don't know who is representing him. I'm saying from personal experience, I know a couple Public Defenders who have handled multiple rape cases.

Set for arraignment at 1 pm. We'll find out then who shows up standing next him.

I hear what you're saying and I definitely agree, but being accused of rape, and being arrested for First Degree Rape are different, IMO. The police must have some pretty significant evidence or I don't think he would have been arrested on that charge.

Duke Lacrosse players were charged also. Let's wait for the trial, if there is one.

I don't think it's a coincidence that UK in the future as long as the top recruiting takes place, will continue to have players getting in trouble. the reason I say this is I have a belief that the higher the recruit is then more times than not as he was growing up he has lived the entitlement life in which they believe they are above the law and can do whatever they wish because in the past that type of attitude was overlooked because of who they were.

I could be so far off, but it's just something I've always thought. The feeling of entitlement has taught many of these kids no discipline because they feel if they do something wrong it will be taken care of for them or simply overlooked.

Just my opinion.

Maybe men should think about kids like this next time they talk about high-fiving their 16 yo boy when he has sex with his teacher.

My take is....there is a right way and a wrong way to act..... don't reward or endorse the wrong way.

Whose dad did that?

If you encourage a certain type of behavior when boys are young (such as suggesting your kid is a hero if he has sex), sometimes they grow up to disrespect women. Couple that with the do no wrong mentality that Hellbird was speaking of, and you end up with a young man like this who has now allegedly committed 1st degree rape.

He was released to the custody of his parents and will be in Louisville until the next hearing. $10k bail.

I don't know if that has been stated already but the victim is his ex-girlfriend.

That always is a reason for pause.

Man. Past sexual history is going to be brought into this. This trial is going to be extremely personal and emotional if it gets to that. Normally you can't bring a victim's sexual history into evidence. However when there is a history of sex between 2 people you can only in regards to their past encounters together.
