A couple thoughts:

I thought the defense played awesome, they were flying around out there.

Logan McDowell is a beast. He is so hard to tackle in the open field and always makes the first man miss.

The O-Line did a great job in pass pro and the run game. They gave Wags time to throw and I thought he rebounded great after a couple of early picks and made a bunch of plays.

Overall, great win for the Colonels. Next week should be interesting vs. Big Moe, but hopefully getting Dressman and McGinness back will help

I'm surprised by the score. Even though I picked CCH to win, I did something I told myself I would never do. I bought into the dixie hype.

I hope Covcath runs crossing patterns at Highlands. Although its scary when they have to call the paramedics.

Stay classy UKFanpart2

Amazed by the conclusions being drawn over the season success or lack of due to the opening game or second game results of a rivalry played at 9:30 in the morning. Here's a thought...Covcath is a very good football team and Dixie was flat. Yesterday wasn't an indicator of how good Dixie will do this season.

The "how we are doing against Highlands and Covcath barometer" gets old for us fans of football in NKY. WE are all aware of the tradition and proud legacy both schools have worked hard to develop and maintain. We simply ask of you this..... be objective and show some empathy. The Moeller game this week will help since the shoe will be on the other foot.

Lot of great kids played on Wooten Field yesterday and I wish all of them well in the classroom, on the gridiron, and in the "game of life." Forgive me for being a lil sensitive after yesterday. :lol2:

Seriously. You should READ you post before you decide to share with the rest of us.

A real piece of work.

I went go Shaekley last night. They quit taking money at halftime. So. To answer your question. It would be Covington Catholic. Shameful!

Well...you can call it shameful that Cov Cath signed a contract to be part of a "showdown" that stipulated that they charge admission to ALL people going to the game and that they hold up their part of the contract by doing so, and I'll call it shameful for an adult to whine about having to pay admission to get into a high school football game. We're well aware your agenda includes making all attempts to badmouth Cov Cath, so you just go right on trying to make your case.

I hope Covcath runs crossing patterns at Highlands. Although its scary when they have to call the paramedics.

Wow! Are you really serious? Check the floor for loose screws.

Likewise for Highlands

Not sure Bosshog is and really don't care. What I do know is that he does not represent Highlands High School and especially not the football team supporters of the Bluebirds.

I also know that will be my son running crossing patterns for Birds and the mentioning of paramedics associated with this is truly the definition of shameful.

I regretted this post as soon as I sent it and would take it back if I could. I am just tired of his posts.

Nothing but respect for HHS.

It was said in jest. I certainly don't want to see anyone hurt on any team in any game.
