With HHS laying an egg last night, CCH should be the favorite in 4A, and #1 in NKy.

 

Let's not put the cart before the horse. Cov Cath may have won soundly today, and Highlands may not have looked like their usual selves last night, but there are still four weeks of football to be played before those two teams see each other on the football field.

 

I'm certainly hopeful that this year is the year we get that 8 year old monkey off our backs and hand the Bluebirds their first district loss since 2006, and I'm undoubtedly always rooting for Cov Cath to beat Highlands, but I need to see at least a couple more weeks of football played before I even consider calling the Colonels "favorite" in that match up.

From what I have read on here and on the HHS / camels thread.....it sounds as if the birds didn't look like the birds for only the second half.....

I thought the game started at noon. Got there in middle of 3rd quarter and they still wanted to charge 8 bucks to get in. Who does that in middle of 3rd qtr? Shameful!

Time change was made days ahead of time and discussed some in the prediction thread for the game. Sorry to hear you were put off, but ticket sales are part of the deal for being a part of the Skyline Crosstown Showdown - tickets are required for all admission. And although that's not usual order at Cov Cath games, I don't see the need to go off calling it "shameful" for a team to charge admission for their games....especially one that catches as much heat as Cov Cath does for not having lights yet and is in the middle of a capital campaign for a new stadium. There are some folks who might have something to say to adults who whine after they unsuccessfully try to get into games for free...
