Prayers also fr a speedy recovery for #29 Camaron Barrett for Dixie. Got hurt today with possible meniscus injury. Hope for a quick and speedy recovery. He's only a sophomore but with great size and speed. Should be a good one for the Colonels for years to come.

Unfortunately I agree that Moore hasn't improved since his sophomore year. He's struggling out. Also throw in the fact it looked like Dixie only dresses 45-55 kids... Not a good recipe for a win.

Don't really know where to begin. Appropriately though congrats to the blueboys on the W. They have a good field general in Wagner and he didn't make many mistakes. And when he did, Dixie couldn't capitalize. The Colonels were flat, disappointing, not a lot of push of the lines, and if Drew Moore continues to not step and throw off his front foot......it could be a very frustrating season for Dixie.

As for the punt returns for TDs hats off to cchs special teams coach and execution. As for refs, 2 clips on the 1st, and then a hold and a clip on the second is pretty bush league. Please send tape to NKY Ref Director for analysis. Considering the strengths of Wagner and the cchs play calling, the rub here is they would have traveled the length of the field and scored anyway considering how flat Dixie was playing. I believe the blueboys only punted 3-4 times.

And the reverse pass by the blueboys up 34-7 in the 4th....classy! If there was a year cchs could beat the birds. This year is looking promising. Best of luck to both squads this season. Dixie has some work to do!!!

Calling a play that works isn't the issue. Dixie should have stopped it.

I was sitting with the CCH faithful when they ran that play and there were a few of them not real pleased with that play call either, really showed some lack of class being up by 27 late in the 4th qtr. deffinatley can understand Dixie's frustration with that call.

No, lots of room in NKY 6A this year.

Lots of room under SK, the Camels and Boone.

I understand the comments about the play, but I have another question........why would cch Show we have that play at that score? Now others can prepare for it........

Good point, and if they wanted to run that play just to see if they could execute it, then why not when up 20-0 when you were comfortably in control of the game and still not what some would consider a rout.

Maybe CovCath just don't like Dixie? :D

I don't think any team has as much hate as you do for everyother team in NKY not named Simon Kenton.

I don't think the reverse pass play would have been my choice either at that point on the game, but when I mentioned that to a team parent, I was told that the team has made it a goal to win their games this season by 35 points (which may or may not be true...so take that for what it's worth), and it was also pointed out that that pass was to Jake Erpenbeck, who they've been working hard on getting confidence built up in as a receiver. they had been struggling to get him a reception during the game today - although that does not necessarily mean you have to do it by calling a big misdirection play at that point in the game.

To put on film

Dixie didn't look like they had anyone that would play D1 football.
you went to a CCH/Dixie game?
