When I was a little kid I remember crying when the Bull ran over the little boy in Song of the South.

Very last scene of Billy Elliot.

 

And the scene, same movie, where the dad hocks his dead wife's jewelry to raise money to send Billy to audition. That one's tough to watch.

 

But I HIGHLY recommend the movie.

The scene in the alley towards the end of End of Watch hard to watch when you have a son in the police academy.

 

Movie is now on a No Watch List for my wife.

What about Angela's Ashes? Anyone see that one besides me? Sobfest for me.

One of the last scenes of "The Help", when the Black care giver is fired and has to say goodbye to the little White girl that she practically raised:

Care giver: "Remember what I told you?" "You is kind. You is smart. You is important."

Little Girl: "I is kind. I is smart. I is important."

Care Giver: (With tears rolling down her cheeks.) "That's right. And don't you forget it."

The movie gets made fun of quite a bit, but the scene in Pearl Harbor when the guys are drilling the ship and the hands are reaching through the tiny window.

The Notebook:

When James Garner finally gets his wife with dementia to remember him and their marriage and they are dancing, and then the moment is gone and she forgets him and freaks out and they take him away. I just feel so bad for him because he misses who she was so much. (especially sad now that James Garner has died.)

The Michael Keaton movie where he is dying and films life lessons for his son. KILLS me.

When Haley Joel Osment dies in "Pay It Forward".

"Click" also chokes me up when Adam Sandler realizes how much he's sucked towards his father (Henry Winkler) and has it paused starring in his dad's eyes. Raally tough.

When they kill Michael Clarke Duncan in The Green Mile.

Fox and the Hound. I think the hound dog died saving the fox. I was a kid and I'm old now but I only watched it once because of that scene.

 

Marley and Me. I didn't cry but I could have. Pretty big lump in my throat.

 

ET. Again. I was a kid. Sue me.

 

Old Yeller. Kid.

 

 

Seems like there is another movie or two that got me emotional as an adult but I am drawing a blank right now.
