IF AF is over 6' in height and runs at least a 4.5 40' date=' he should not even need highlight tape.[/quote'] With all due respect to A. Floyd, this is just flat out wrong.

Why does address matter when CovCath can and does draw from all over NKy?? What am I missing?

Any school can draw from anywhere but once you start at a school and play a varsity sport then the transfer rules apply.

I get that but it's not like CCH has a specific territory that he MUST live in to play there. People keep commenting about moving "closer" to the school. I know kids south of Walton and north of the river who go to CCH so it seems silly to discuss his physical address as a means to get a waiver for that particular school.

Actually they do, have to be in the Covington Dioceses to attend and participate in athletics.

You can attend and be "out of district/state" but you can not participate.

Was told he is there but not practicing, also that this is just a paper issue and he will be cleared to play sometime in early August.

I have not been told want the issue with paper work are, but he was at Cov Cath today.

I hope that it's only a paper work issue. It's completely unfair that some get cleared & others do not. I hope he is cleared soon.

??? Is that a local CCH rule? Pretty sure you can live in Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, or anywhere else and enroll in a KY school and play sports for that school, assuming you meet all other requirements.

Do you know how big the Diocese is? It includes Grant, Harrison and Owen counties. You seem to be saying Pigskin Junkie is wrong when he says kids south of Walton can go to CCH and play sports and PJ is correct. Here is a map:

Diocese of Covington at 1125 Madison Ave., Covington, KY 41011-3115 US - Covington Diocese Map

Having to live in the Diocese is not much of a restriction.

That is false if I am understanding you correctly. We are out of district and are not Catholic and my daughter played sports at NDA.

Hasn't Holy Cross had players from Ohio?

Don't forget OJ Mayo - commuted from West Virginia to start Varsity in 7th grade for Rose Hill. I'm surprised more Ohio players don't hit up CCH, NDA, NCC, Highlands, and other school close to the border.

The district goes all the way to Carroll County with a line to Lewis County as far as KY area coverage.

They may have changed the out of state participation rule, that is possible.

We agree on something for once? See my other post about the Cov Diocese district.

Aaron Floyd is telling some of his friends that he misses everyone at Boone and wishes he could come back (to Boone).

Again, what a cluster...

Can he go back to Boone Co. with no repercussions?
