Aaron Harrison says it is all about their futures......ring or championship not that much of a factor. Speaks volumes about them. They should leave.

I mean I wouldn't exactly penalize a kid for saying that it is a personal decision.... they've been working all their lives towards this dream/career......

Doesn't really speak volumes to me at all and shouldn't be a surprise. Its all about capitalizing on the most money possible. If they would benefit from another year at Kentucky and increase their earning potential by going in the 2015 draft, then they should stay. If they don't believe they can do that, then they should leave.

He just verbalized what any player in this situation thinks and we as fans shouldn't turn it into anymore more than that.

These guys went to college to help get them into their careers, just like almost any other student. I don't begrudge them at all for saying they're thinking about their future. If I was midway through college and a Fortune 500 company offered me six figures to come work for them then and there, I would've dropped my pursuit of a degree then as well. That's reality and I don't even consider it all that selfish.

Of course, if that same company told me that I was merely going to be competing for a job and/or might be out of a job in a couple of years compared to a greater likelihood of getting it and keeping it if I stayed in college, I'd probably stick around. That, to me, is what the Harrisons are facing, and Poythress as well. None of them are guaranteed a first round pick. With Aaron and Poythress I'd go as far as saying they likely wouldn't be, and Andrew is borderline. It would be a mistake to go at this point with that much uncertainty. Dakari at least has the advantage of being a 7 footer, and size usually gets drafted at a premium. He'd still be a project and could likely make more money with development.

What does Cal mean by Alex and Dakari don't have to make this decision yet?

I took it as opposed to Randle (who was mentioned earlier) who has already set the press conference. Although why you would set a press conference before talking to Cal/making a decision, I have no idea.

Yes, get out! If you are concerned about your future we have no use for you. The Harrison's should be concerned about our future not theirs, how selfish.

Horrible statement to post. Do you really think they are the only athletes that are concerned about their futures? Every college athlete is concerned about their own well being first and if, by chance, they're put into a position to win at their university then that's a bonus. The twins just had the gut to say what everyone else is thinking.

I don't have to say anything that hasn't already been said, but yes it's a business decision big deal. It's supposed to be a business decision, that's what a professional prospect does. Think anyone in Texas is hating on Jordan Spieth for leaving after one year? Dude almost won the masters, so like all amateur athletes with pro prospects it's all about the business and the education is an added bonus.

Kyle Tucker @KyleTucker_CJ

Hearing Calipari and Poythress had good meeting and concerns I'd mentioned may be cleared up. Very good chance he stays.

AP has shown flashes of what he's capable of, but I don't think he's sustained a level of play, for any length of time, that would warrant him leaving for the NBA.
