Many people have gone on record (maybe not with as much study backing) saying developing brains have no business using marijuana unless it is medical in nature.

April 16, 201412 yr The NEJM will have all the particulars, and I bet it won't be long til we have info on neurosuppression and how it affects neural pathways. But the most telling tale will be the hindrance in development, if that in fact is the case.
April 16, 201412 yr Everybody knew that dude who by age 19 had already smoked himself stupid. Had flashes of how smart he was capable of being when you talked to him. Wrote decent essays for the classes in what was almost certainly his philosophy major. Listened to a lot of classic rock. That dude started smoking when he was 13 and it showed.

I don't think anyone has ever said marijuana isn't harmful. Even if it was legal I can't imagine any adult allowing their kid to start smoking it. Marijuana is just as harmful to young people as alcohol is. This isn't breaking news.
