I would like to ask those of you who pray to remember a little buddy of mine, Dalton Naranjo.

Dalton is a 12 year old student at Belfry Middle School. He is a sweet kid with a smile that is infectuous. Dalton found out he had Leukemia last week and within an hour was on a helicopter enroute to UK Children's Hospital, where he is now receiving treatments. Talk about your life turning upside down in a matter of minutes.

He got some good news, his leukemia is chronic and not acute. This means that he will be treated with a pill and not chemo, but he still has a long road ahead of him. He is a tough guy, though, and I know he will pull through this with lots of prayers and love. There is a tremendous outpouring of support from this community, something I really love about living in a small town.

Please keep Dalton, his parents Connie and Mark, and his big brother Cody in your prayers in the days ahead.

Dalton was thrilled when Willie Cauley Stein stopped by the hospital for a visit.

Thanks guys. This is a really sweet family and they are coveting prayers above all else.

And it's prayers they will receive. God bless you Dalton and your family!

Prayers sent.... Also, it's nice to see college athletes visit kids (and adults) in hospitals, I see it as being GREAT therapy!

I agree. I'm sure it meant more to Dalton than WCS will ever know.
