Does NCC have any transfers?

How do you define a transfer for a private school? There is no school district that the child moves into which is typically what would be considered a transfer. Do you mean a kid whose parents elected to send their kid to private school after freshman year?

Private or not the definition is the same. Yes, NCC has transfers.

So for you that are saying it's no different than NCC getting a couple kids from the area...answer this. How in the world did kids from NYC hear about and want to go to a small school in KY. Did they just pull the map out, close their eyes and point at the map and say "let's go there"? Do you think they knew anything about the place? How did they get educated on Cordia? What made them decide they wanted to go to this little school that they never heard of? This is completely different than a couple of brothers transferring to a new school, that they know about very well, in the same area of the state. Everyone knows what's going on here and you can turn a cheek if you want, but in my opinion it's completely different and completely garbage. What do they acheive by anything they end up accomplishing this year? Even if they start practicing together, gain some chemistry and win the state, it will be thought of by 3/4 of the state as the state championship with astericks. The year the NYC transfers won the KY state. They will be in a no win situation.

 

If they truly had parents transferred here or grandparents that lived in KY and they wanted to get the kids out of the city enviroment or some kind of story like that, then I wouldn't be so against it. But I don't think any of that is going on here. You can pretend what you want, but you know what this is. In the spirit of high school sports, this is rediculous. And I sounds like the KHSAA agrees.

 

You can say the scenarios are the same, but c'mon. NCC didn't go after their transfers. They came to them. Can you really tell me with a straight face that this is the same situation??? The NYC kids just decided to go to Cordia High School? Why Cordia? Why not Trinity or Male or Ballard or any other big time bball school? Why Cordia?

Just pure speculation but maybe they knew Rhodes(him being from that area) and they wanted to play for him. Just a possibility of how 2 kids from nyc may wind up in Cordia over Trinity, Ballard or Male.

The answer is yes, but it doesn't matter any more, a lot of the good teams do. To be specific. The Moeves brothers played at Walton last year. Everything legal. McClendon for Holmes played at Holy Cross last year, Chames from Holmes played at HC two years ago. Everything legal. Much ado about nothing today IMO. All are contributors to their teams.

Maybe! And we think that alone caused a kid in high school to move to play at Cordia? So our speculation is these kids picked up shop, left their families, traveled 800 miles to play for who? I'm sure you don't really believe that? I don't doubt they knew him. But my speculation is they didn't travel all that way "just because they really like Rhodes". Are they related? Did he coach them in AAU? Did he go to school with their dads? Heck anything? It's out of control. And many other examples people give is the same situation in my mind. Transferring for high school sports in order to create super teams is rediculous. Everyone has their reason for transferring and I really don't have issues with it because most of the time it's for more than just sports. It may appear 100% sports related, but most of the time there are MANY other factors. Can ANYONE (without speculation) tell us why these kids transferred to Cordia? Just give me one factual reason and it's done. Someone must know. And if they are using the injuction to "get to play" and then don't win the appeal or whatever it is, then it's completely unfair to the kids they are playing with and against.
