Cole is a great young man and I agree that he has a bright future in basketball- but I guarantee that he could have had an equally bright future (maybe even brighter) on the gridiron.

 

I saw in another thread where he recently rolled his ankle in a summer bball league. Last year he missed half his Frosh football games due to another summer basketball injury. Conversely, I never knew him to get injured in football at all. Bball a non contact sport? Ha!

 

In the end, he chose his greater passion which is always the right thing.

Man I cannot wait for this season to start. IMO CovCath has a challenging, but manageable schedule. Moeller is going to be real, real tough. Everyone else seems to be very beatable.

That's been an on-and-off series for the last 25 years or more. We never played New Cath in the time I attended Cov Cath. I think it's a combination of just plain old scheduling difficulties mixed with some degree of how competitive the game will or won't be. There are some years that it would be a decent game, and others where it wouldn't necessarily be so competitive.

 

I'm guessing with some of the less challenging teams Cov Cath has drawn in district play in years of late, Coach Wirth wants to keep as many guaranteed challenging games in the schedule as possible.

That's probably a better question for someone like Walter- I have no eye for what level a kid could play in basketball as a HS. Frosh
