Bad Weather Friday, Will any Games Likely Get Postponed?

Featured Replies

It's the end of the year. I don't see why any school would postpone simply due to rain. That's like admitting that the rain hurts your teams advantages, that's just dumb, line up and play the game.

With the type of weather they are predicting...not just rain but copious amounts of it a good possibility...that just doesn't equate to good football. If they play through it so be it, both teams have to play in the same conditions. But I'd rather see teams in more optimal conditions and would have no problems seeing the games moved to Saturday if the weather is supposed to be more cooperative.

Well, for the Simon Kenton folks, take your rain coats and parkas with you. Last week Camels fans left home with dry skies and into a rain storm. They cleaned every place out on parkas close to Butler. Me being one of them. Of course the rain stopped right before game time.

I have tickets to see Alabama Saturday and the possibility of a postponment looms large for me if they do. I'm stressed it ccould happen

It should for the difference in the gate or for safety if its thundering which it would then

As for just rain I am a believer in you play it. With my Bama day at risks I say play it mo matter what. Lightning rarely strikes football fields

Of course I am kidding about lightning but mother nature is trying to be cruel, I don't get to see Bama play but once or twice a year and this year this is my only chance.

Never understood why the games from this point forward arent on Saturday night anyways.

I'm sure Trinity's stadium is available if Male wants to avoid a muddy field.

Would love that.....an all day of tailgating. That would be troubling!

I think that any talk of postponement would be from a dollars and cents perspective. Bad weather could severely limit attendance.
I do not see this happening in KY.

Caldwell County is a grass field. They are saying the rain will be past us by game time.

As a fan in central Kentucky, rain moving past you guys means rain moving into us. Better get out the rain gear!

Can't wait to watch SK play Butler in a muddy game. Love turf fields but nothing beats watching a muddy football game.

With all of the rain today and some last week, what kind of shape are the fields we're playing on in?? I know Gallatin was in pretty good shape last week. After tonight, probably a different story.

Gallatin Co., I'm told, is a grass field. 1st time this season NewCath plays on grass.

Newport HighSchool is turf?

Pouring down in Nashville, heading your way!

Tigers field has been covered since yesterday.

No way. Always play in the rain unless there is lightning
