Michigan State 78 Kentucky 74

Very true. Could also say if they shoot only 12 triples as opposed to the 20 they hoisted, those extra 8 shots inside the arc probably result in at least 4 additional points. This team is not a three point shooting team. They should never be taking that many threes. Attack the rim and feed the "beast", and they'll win 99% of the time.

The most they can win now is 97.5% of the time... :)

Na, they can still win 99% of the time that they attack the rim. They didn't do that last night. :D

It's always a good night when UK gets beat. Michigan State is the real deal. They have a lot of veteran guys who can really play!

Oh, and the Hoosiers beat LIU-Brooklyn by 1 tonight.

I take it he was he still wearing his NCAA Sweet Sixteen T-shirt and matching candy-striped pants when he tweeted this.

When the beast gets double and triple teamed going for 2, he can kick it out for a 3 to bury teams in a hurry.

Young stepping up in the first half when the team struggled and Randle and Alex brining it in the second half....these things speak to what excites me about this team, so much talent that SOMEBODY will be ready to step up game to game.

I also thought Poythress should have saw more minutes. He got in 27 but he was a calming force through the night.

Totally agree. Alex was able to almost study the game and jump in accordingly.

Yep. Through the first 3 games, I've been incredibly impressed with the improvement from Poythress, and conversely vastly disappointed in the lack of improvements shown from Cauley-Stein.

I think that is in large part due to the fact that he doesn't have to be "the man" this year that he probably felt he needed to be last year. He's letting the game come to him more and he's going to be a huge factor in the success of this year's team if he keeps this up.

Free Throws, transition defense cost them the game. The sky is the limit when these two things get fixed.

Digger Phelps laughs and yells at Rod Stricklin, "Hey Rod, when you going to teach these guys to shoot free throws...ha ha ha" right in front of Julius Randle as the players are walking to the bus. They said Randle looked like he wanted to punch Digger in the face...I hate Digger, way to take a shot a kid that probably feels horrible for missing a couple of crucial free throws!

According to Jones on KSR, said Weitzel was with him and heard Digger say it also.

Time to get out my Getslow voodoo doll.

You don't believe in voodoo any more than I believe in jinxes.

A loss like this is worrisome for future Kentucky opponents. A couple of UK's players didn't have very good nights and they lost to the No. 2 team in the nation by four points.

Randle is amazing and I wish he'd gone ANYWHERE else... except maybe Memphis. Hate Memphis.

Most disappointing thing for me was the lack of effort on transition D, 20+ run out points is crazy for a team this athletic to give up.

EFFORT not consistent tonight for really anyone. Cal needs to show MKG getting beat backdoor and recovering to get the block over and over to this group

Some growing up to do? If by "some" you meant "a lot", I agree...

I don't like them at all, from the first time I saw them play I said they were very selfish players who are very talented.

A three or two from Willis would have been nice. Hard to do sitting on the bench. Marcus Lee needs to get some minutes. Can block shots. Johnson is big but never gets off the floor.
