#1 Kentucky vs #2 Michigan State Tuesday in the Champions Classic.

No. 2 Michigan State trounces McNeese, eyes Kentucky

I think if / when they play again in March, UK rolls them. However, I think this young UK team isn't quite ready for a veteran and talented Sparty bunch.

While UK is very young and inexperienced I believe that Michigan St. isn't as talented as UK. Michigan St. plays very well as a team because they've been together for quite a while, unlike most any UK team.

 

 

UK seems to be struggling with FT's as they shot 68% today I believe, they're getting to the line a lot so they need to be able to capitalize.

 

 

Shooting the ball UK seemed to do pretty well against NKU, with the exception of James Young who may end up being streaky.

 

Poythress has played well the first two games of the season and if he continues then he will be a great and reliable 6th man off the bench along with Dakari and Lee.

 

 

I say UK hangs on and beats Michigan St. 83-76

I'm thinking MSU by 9.

The Cats aren't quite there yet.

 

Sparty by 6.

 

This game will tell us a lot about our young guys. I'm hoping they can fight through some inexperience and beat a team who is at this point better than they are. Similar to the 2012 UK/UNC game.

 

Win or lose, I'm excited about this one...

UK is better than MSU now, will be in March, and was in July. Should be a fun game.

My heart says UK, but my brain says MSU. I'll take MSU by 6 and hope I'm wrong

Believe this UK team hates to loose so bad that they pull this one out.

I just have a hard time thinking UK doesn't win Tuesday. Will be fun to watch regardless of the outcome.

If they play like they did today; they'll win easy. I'm thinking UK by 8. Should be a tough game, and a great challenge for this team.

Don't get me wrong, I have great respect for Izzo and State but what UK player would you trade for his counterpart? Harris? Maybe Payne? Obviously the best team doesn't always win but I like UK's chance in every game that they will play.

As I said in another thread, we do what we have to do to win in the early games and then flat out kill people when the switch goes off. 40-0

Excited to see Sparty's vets vs. UK's youngsters. Really looking forward to seeing Gary Harris, who might be my favorite non-UK player in the country.
