To take it a step farther I think they would beat most of the top teams this season, but does that matter at all?

My guess is 10 to 15 teams in Ohio would beat BG almost every time. Another 30 or so would be about even with them and then the next 50 or so could beat them on any given Friday but BG would be a favorite.

I would say 4-5 in in Cincy and Cleveland. Probably another 4-5 between Columbus and Dayton.

I doubt any would beat the Purples, a few could on a given night when the ball bounces their way but not consistently. OH football is over rated again this season when you get right down to it

Based on what? Elder is middle of the road in Ohio DI. They looked pretty good to me. Colerain SMOKED Trinity. They looked pretty good. Ohio football overall maybe overrated, but the DI teams are as good as advertised.

The top teams in Ky that you're comparing them too are down this year but I disagree. Unless you don't believe moeller is a top team.

This would be about my guess as well.

 

What "theguru" is basing this on is that there are:

 

1.) Over three times more teams in Ohio than in Kentucky;

2.) Over 500 teams more playing high school football in Ohio than in Kentucky

 

"theguru" might be a little conservative (in my opinion) in his guess, but is really dumb to speculate, although I did speculate.....didn't I?

BG is the greatest team in the entire country and in HS football history.

So, in effect, CalPreps predicts that BG would go 1-3 in the GCL and lose two of the games by more than a touchdown although all competitive games. Those teams, other than LaSalle, are all consistent Ohio heavyweights so no shame in being competitive with but losing to good teams like that (mosth.s. football teams should be on the field with them) but at least the computer thinks BG would be far from unbeatable in Ohio. Did not run other games but you put link above so others can run there own comparisons. There are some other computer sites that do the same things (others might want to share their favorites as these are a fun way to see how teams might match up if they played) and results can vary (just like actual games) depending on what factors are put in to the system and of course multiple simulations would come up with each team winning a certain percentage of the time.
