October 11, 201313 yr I like it though the quality sometimes suffers with a lack of preparation time. I don't think so. With the new regulations from the CBA where they can only wear pads like once a week anyway or something silly like that, there really isn't a ton of things they do different from week to week. The coaches may try and scheme a little different depending on who they are playing, but mmost of the time it is more talk than anything else. You watch most of the teams and they play the ssame from week to week with few changes. They usually make their adjustments during the game. Aslo these guys are professionals, it's not like it really takes them a long time to pick up a change the coaches want them to do. Man to man will always be man to man and zone will always be zone etc.
October 11, 201313 yr The quality of games has to suffer when you guarantee all 32 teams will play a Thursday game. Giants/Bears in most years would be 2 marquee teams. You can't predict this stuff in April. Edited October 11, 201313 yr by JokersWild24
October 11, 201313 yr I'm not a huge fan. I don't see how these guys can prepare to the fullest with such a short week to prepare. I also hate it due to the rash decisions I have to make fantasy wise.

You can't predict this stuff in April. If it's guaranteed that all 32 teams will play a game, its' most likely to be sure that all the hardcore fans in each city will buy a subscription to the NFL network. Nothing more, nothing less.
October 11, 201313 yr If they scheduled them right they could do it. Simply have teams coming off bye weeks play the thur night games or something. Just a suggestion.

I think the quality often suffers because of a lack of healing time from the game they played four days earlier.
October 11, 201313 yr I'm not much of a fan. Thursday nights are for college football. I don't like having to flip back and forth. It should've remained Thursdays and Satudays for college, and Sundays and Mondays for the NFL.
October 11, 201313 yr I agree with Nees; I've always watched college football on Thursday night. Wings, Beer, & college football on Thursday seems like a natural fit for me.
October 11, 201313 yr Thurs games should only be after by week games. Bye week teams would have a huge advantage the following. 1. Bye week break 2. then 10 day break after Thur. night game til Sunday a week. They won't do that.
October 11, 201313 yr Is this the best decision the NFL has made in a long time?? I absolutely love having a game in the middle of the week to watch. I used to always hate having to wait the entire week until we got more football. What does everyone think? Agree 100%
