Braves Are Tired of Being Shown Up After Homeruns

Featured Replies

So because it's the end of the season players need to fight or not say anything?

He knew by standing in front of home plate that the benches were going to clear. Be ready to throw down at that point. If you aren't ready to throw down, keep your mouth shut.

And yes, you react differently at the end of the season because a 5 game suspension right now is much more detrimental than in mid-July. Not a difficult concept. He should err on the side of caution at this point.

Like was stated earlier, the Brewers have nothing to lose. He is lucky it didn't escalate and really cost the Braves.

Not hardly...Everyone seems to hate on the Braves or their fans.:lol2:....Granted that most of the actual fans in Atlanta are fair weather considering they hardly ever sell out a game...Biggest problem I have with Braves fans are that they have little passion for their team..Kinda sad.

I was only kidding.

And I just looked up statistics for attendance right before I read this post and the Braves aren't as low as I expected. They're 14th in average attendance with around 30K plus at a game.

Many people suggest the correct retaliation would have been to hit him with a pitch. Sounds like you disagree with that?

I do disagree with that. Strike him out to retaliate.

The stands in Atlanta when this happened looked like a Marlins game. Attendance was less than 20,000 and I can't believe there were close to that many there, unless they all showed up in the 3rd inning. Or maybe they counted sold tickets and not fans in attendance. I thought that lack of attendance was interesting as I read the comments about Reds fans.

McCann shouldn't have fought him, he should have kept his mouth shut, period. The dude had thrown at him on several occasions, and his payback was gloating on taking him yard. Get over it. How McCann reacted did NOTHING but make the Braves look more stupid over this whole issue than they already do.

Yeah I was embarrassed when I seen the highlights and seen the fans in the stands...Pitiful.

Yeah that will really show him.

Opinions and predictions are facts now?

So they aren't a perennial underachiever in the postseason?

How many division titles have they won in the past 25 years? And how many WS appearances do they have to show for it?

It is your opinion that this team will under achieve. That doesn't make it a fact.

The only two players on this team that have won a division championship are McCann and Hudson. Hudson isn't playing. What does the past 25 years have to do with a completely different team and manager?

Striking him out wouldn't be enough. Malholm would have to strike him out, scream as loud as he could when he did it, maybe even a fist pump or some other action and then start walking toward Gomez and yelling at him the whole time Gomez is walking back to the dugout.

And if he had done that many here would call it an overreaction. :lol2:

But it would be AWESOME!

It would be funny, for sure.

Counting this year, 16 division titles. They appeared in the World Series 5 times out of the 15 prior titles, winning once. I don't think it's the World Series appearances they're usually given flack for, it's not winning it all more with the dominant staff. They did fail to make the World Series the last 6 times they won the division.

Yeah that will really show him.

Don't throw a beach ball across the plate at the first at-bat and you don't have anything to worry about. :lol2:
