Braves Are Tired of Being Shown Up After Homeruns

AT LEAST half of these are worse than what Gomez did... And this is just the first video I watched.

This one is even better in terms of guys watching balls fly out of the park...

I disagree with the bold 100%. So basically, you don't care how anyone reacts after a HR? What if he stood on home plate and started screaming before he even ran? What if he walked around the bases yelling look at me the whole way? Is there any post HR act that would bother you?

Nope. Guy beat you, gives him the right to react however he wants. That being said, I have no issue with a pitcher putting one between the numbers the next time said guy steps to the plate.

Remember when Puig slid into home after his walk-off HR against the Reds? Did you voice your displeasure for that? This was worse than that? Latos did what a professional does. When the Dodgers came to town, he put one in his back first pitch.

Fellas, make no mistake about it. That jack was pimped from the start and Gomez had one thing on his mind. Go yard and let them know about it.

The first two are the only two I would say were as bad as Gomez and it looks like both of them were big moments in games, not a leadoff batter in a meaningless game where it is all about me and has nothing to do with the moment.

Love over the ones who flip the bat towards the pitcher.....Prince Fielder.

Thought I saw Gomez on there also.

Maholm was definitely barking at Gomez as he was troting to 1st. I'm sure Gomez was jawing right back at him though. Then you had Freeman start mouthing off at Gomez as he gets to first, then McCann playing fake tough guy. They all need thicker skin. You don't like how a guy reacts to blasting one, don't give up a HR. Simple as that.

I can just tell you that I watched this live, with Fox Sports South on one screen and then DVR'd MLB Network so I could see it better. I did not see Maholm do what you say. I wish I could find a video that wasn't just the one from the Brewers Fox Sports feed. Best one I could find so far is this:

I saw Gomez in there twice. Again, almost all of those look like game winning key HR's and I have no problem with them. Leadoff hitter in the game going off more than any of those game winners and yelling at the pitcher before he starts his trot, I understand 100% why the Braves went off.

VOR, have you ever witnessed Phillips hit a HR? His normal reaction is worse than what Gomez did every time.

I love the bat flips... Prince Fielder :lol2:

This was MLB Network's breakdown of their history. It at least explains how we got here:

You all are looking at one side of the story, and not the other side in which Gomez, I guarantee, said something soon after he hit that homerun. You could tell from the beginning of his AB that he was looking to swing for the fences on every pitch.

After watching that video, I have even less of an issue with Gomez's reaction.

Bad blood or not this is being way overblown.

Gomez hit a solo home run in the first inning and he acts like he just hit a moon shot to win a game. Calm down guy.

I counted seven where you could see it was the 9th (or 10th in one case) inning. That isn't almost all of them, you'd just be guessing on the rest.
