September 26, 201312 yr How does he come off as a "fake tough guy"? Or does he come off that way because of your obvious hatred of the Braves? I don't hate the Braves, I hate their fans. Big difference. He's fake tough guy, because everyone knew he wasn't going to do anything but huff and puff. Twice in a two week span he's gotten upset over a HR hit against them. Instead of getting upset at the batters, maybe he should worry more about calling a better game or his pitchers serving up gopher balls? :idunno:
September 26, 201312 yr Why not celebrate a HR in the first inning? TD's are celebrated in the first quarter...Sacks are celebrated, even by guys losing the game by 21 points...players celebrate monster dunks in the first quarter. BASEBALL takes itself WAY TOO SERIOUS!!! Baseball is different. People don't celebrate hits, strikeouts, doubles, triples, making a catch, etc. Unless it's late in the game in a big situation. That's just the nature of the sport. Baseball is way more serious than the other sports in terms of celebrations and when they happen but that's not a bad thing.
September 26, 201312 yr Many people suggest the correct retaliation would have been to hit him with a pitch. Sounds like you disagree with that? I disagree with it but I know that is how baseball works.

It takes itself way too seriously. It's still a damn game at the end of the day.

September 26, 201312 yr Cards have the best record after last night I believe. They have played one more game so you are right.

McCann just talked to Fernandez and told him that he shouldn't do what he did. Fernandez even said after the game that he and McCann are friends. It's not like McCann tried to start a fight with him. As for the fake tough guy Oscar Mayer Bologna, what did you expect him to do? Fight him? That's stupid. Especially for a team in the playoffs vs a team with nothing to lose. Baseball is Different...it takes its self way to seriously. Manny Celebrated just about every home run he ever hit, so does Fielder...no out cry against them...maybe this is just a Braves Issue!

If you're on a team going to the playoffs you just may need to put it in your back pocket until next year.

Or maybe it's an issue with everyone but no one else wants to do anything. Even if baseball wants to lessen the seriousness of the sport it's not going to happen overnight so until every player celebrates when they hit a HR you're gonna have teams that get frustrated.

September 26, 201312 yr   The truth comes out. He OWNS Maholm. "Even his outs are bullets!!!!!" 9 for 20 with 2 HRs and 4 RBI
September 26, 201312 yr I'm sure your day has been ruined. Not hardly...Everyone seems to hate on the Braves or their fans.:lol2:....Granted that most of the actual fans in Atlanta are fair weather considering they hardly ever sell out a game...Biggest problem I have with Braves fans are that they have little passion for their team..Kinda sad.
