Braves Are Tired of Being Shown Up After Homeruns

Featured Replies

And were supposed to just take your word for it that Maholm hit him intentionally every time and that if any or all of them were intentional its because he couldn't get him out?

I mean I'm sure you do in fact know it all, but how do you know this information?

Watch the history video.

What was he supposed to do? Grab a bat and murder him in cold blood at home plate?

Keep his mouth shut!

You guys what #plantmanky's thoughts?

No.

On every pitch you know he intentionally hit him?

Did you not watch the video? McCann is set up behind Gomez! The only way Maholm can hit the target is to drill him.

I know you think I'm biased because I don't like the Braves, but come on HB, you're more rational about the NY Giants than you're being here.

Watch the history video.

Already did. And on at least one occasion it's not so obvious that he meant to hit him. I believe the commentator even said that. It was the most recent time he got hit.

Okay.

In your opinion, he didn't act like an idiot.

But Puig did? And hitting Puig was okay?

I'd have had no problem with Maholm hitting Gomez his next AB. None. If he charged the mound, so be it.

Because I don't agree with you on everything? You aren't ALWAYS right..you do know that right?

So in your world it's okay to hit someone with a 90 mph fastball but not okay to yell at that person?

Nope that goes out the window when the batter runs his mouth.

The catcher was the first person to say something.....

Let's hear it.

I liked what both of them did, dont see wrong in either one to be honest. My thought is do what they want, just be prepared for the reaction to it.

At the end of the day, Maholm needs to figure out how to get him out. He's killing him. It was considered a win for Maholm when he hit him twice. If you can't get him out and the only way to hold him in check is to hit him, don't get upset when he crushes one to the moon and let's you know about it.

Yeah he said "run" because the batter was standing there posing. That's up to Gomez if he wants to show the pitcher up but he can expect a reaction.

So what did McCann prove by standing in the base path? What did he accomplish besides starting an altercation?
