It would probably be a relief for Reds fans because we would finally know that the players give a crap. Until this year, they seemed to be the team you could plunk all day and nothing would be done. Finally, this year, they look like they have some life. At least Leake and Latos...possibly Bailey.

Naw, I played team sports and baseball through high school. That's how we'd view you guys also. Especially if your pitcher is the one who initiated all this from the jump.

I was also a catcher... In no circumstance I could ever remember or think of would I have stood in the base path because someone hit a HR. And PLENTY of people milked it.

 

If my pitcher beaned a guy that many times and then that guy took him yard, I wouldn't say a word.

If my teammate started it I'm going to back my teammate and make sure he doesn't get whipped. I'm not going to disregard the facts just because he is my teammate. I'm also not going to upset our team chemistry. It's obvious my teammate is doing enough of that on his own.
